[Closed] 1/2 October 2023 Psychological congress and Hackathon for mental Health with MotusDAO DIC 2nd-3rd

Brief overview of the project: It’s time to start building public goods and start creating new use cases as we onboard new communities. MotusDAO aims to democratize high quality mental health services. We have created a community of 20 psychologists from different parts of Latin america who are providing their service on our platform. As well, we have hosted several events, on the metaverse (NearHub included), and many in IRL as well. We currently have 33 users/patients registered in the platform, with 50% of them actively taking psychotherapy.
Last year, as one of the project’s first initiatives, we launched a congress on the Gather.town metaverse, inviting clinical psychologists, psychoanalists, and we hosted a socio-economic development panel, where we had blockhchain experts, coders, and more.

Initiative Summary:
This year we designed a 10 weeks implementation project; 1 NearHub event and 1 Congress/Hackathon.
We want to host our first 100% online Congress/Hackathon, using NearHub as our main metaverse venue. We imagine the first hackathon focused on developing new mental health solutions using blockchain technology. The congress will have only two categories, Psychological education, focused on mental health professionals and Blockchain education, Increasing the number of people educated about NDC governance, BOS and active projects in the ecosystem. We are looking to start having on-chain onboarding on to our AstroDAO: motus_dao.near, as we currently are working with web 2.0 protocols and want to start moving slowly to Web 3.0. This Congress is designed to increase the on-chain engagement of our users, with simple gamification dynamics for them to explore mynearwallet creation, have online transactions, NFT acquisition, buy MotusDAO merch with NEAR, etc., increasing the number of active users and transactions both on Near and on our DAO. To accelerate both NEAR and MotusDAO growth, we want to host the first exclusive Mental Health Hackathon in Web 3. Inviting programmers and coders, to join forces for the first time with mental health professionals, who underwent through specific prior Blockchain/Web 3.0 Education (Congress). We want to increase the numbers of active Developers and numbers of Tools, Public Goods, dApps on BOS.

Funding scheme:
This is a 2 months and a half plan (10 weeks). Which means we will be asking for a total of $4,000 divided in two months and execute the plan completely by mid December.
This 1/2 One-time proposal for $2,000 = 1,843 Near(based at the time of posting).

Expected impact and value you foresee for the NEAR ecosystem/community:
Onboard a mental healthcare project/community and help web 3.0 evolve. We are building a strong and resilient community. We identified that a lack of access in high quality Mental Health coverage is detrimental for a growing community. We offer to start building new type of solutions, based on new real use cases not fully explored yet. NEAR Protocol can play a vital role in addressing this problem by enabling the development of new and innovative mental health and regenerative solutions. NEAR’s unique features, such as its scalability, low transaction fees, and ease of use, make it an ideal platform for building mental health solutions that are more affordable, accessible, and confidential.

Our Last event, talking about NEAR protocol With the REFI community. We shared why is NEAR a eco-friendly blockchain, and how to access to Horizon, Near.Social, NDC, CreativesDAO and MarketingDAO.

Metrics for measuring success:
-# of active Developers in Hackathon
-# of active Users and Transactions during the Congress/Hackathon
-# of users On-chain onboarded because of the event
-# of proposals & votes on motusdao.sputnik-dao.near as On-chain engagement
-# of Tools or dApps created on BOS during the Hackathon
-# of attendees educated about NDC governance, BOS and active projects in the ecosystem
-# of new users who sign up for MotusDAO as a result of the event.

Thank you for your proposal.

It is an awesome initiative. A few questions

How does this help in achieving our core values and KPIs? Read more Here

“We have created a community of 20 psychologists from different parts of Latin america who are providing their service on our platform.” and “We currently have 33 users/patients registered in the platform, with 50% of them actively taking psychotherapy.” Is your platform on BOS ? If not, what is the impact of the patients on the platform?

I also want to see the breakdown of the funds allocated to each item in your first month.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

So far, our platform is not on BOS, but we would be happy to be part of the ecosystem. For now, we have a web 2.0 system where users/patients and professionals register at a google forms for them to be part of the community and the whole process to start. We could integrate wallets, mainly for transactions and governing power over the mental health DAO. and we could use maybe IAMHUMAN, to proof ID. (Would like some assesment on the subject into how to start integrating Near Ecosystem to our needs, as we have patients and professionals to onboard).

This Congress/Hackathon helps achieving Near’s core values and KPIs in multiple ways, as we are planning to onboard our community on the long run, if we receive full support. Let’s revise one by one:

  1. Accounts retention after 1/2/4/8 weeks — the percentage of accounts who continue interacting on the chain over a given time period (higher is better):

Since we have been doing a series of IRL and metaverse events, the number of users can be retained for even more than 8 weeks, as we at least organize one event per month, finding an actual use case, like POAPs, payment system, NFTs, and more. On the other side, if we onboard patients and professionals, as well it would be an ongoing use case. The User/patient would have at least 1 interaction per week (payment), and the Professional could have more interaction per week as he could have more users. It is important to mention, that these are un explored use cases. As well, I am part of @mexicohub.near, where we can push the educational use case for programming students and future coders.

2. Account acquisition cost — budget divided by the number of accounts interacting through the funded initiative (lower is better): 20USD - 17.8 NEAR. 200 inscribed (100 psychologist and 100 programers)/ $4,000 dollars. (Total for the whole initiative congress/hackathon)

3. Median number of dApps used by P95 accounts retained for 1+ week (higher is better):
4-5 dApps; EasyPoll, BOS Linktree, AstroDAO, NFT SWAP, MetaPool. (for users/patients and mental health profesionals)

4. Number of accounts retained for 1+ week using at least three dApps (higher is better)
I imagine Hackers could use: NearHackathons, Magicbuild, developr hub, Near Query API, Dashboard. Also, we can design a longer Hackathon that best suits the ecosystem’s needs.

5. Social engagement score — some compound metric of the number of posts, likes, and followers/views in social media produced by the users:
We have the graphics, we would just have to add NEAR logo and start paying for the promotion, along with the other strategies, once we have the authorization, for us to start measuring these metrics on Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, etc.

The money will be used as follows (Breakdown):

  • Focus on low-cost marketing and promotion channels like our social media, blog posts, simple youtube videos, and cross-promotion with other Web 3 projects/communities: $500 USD Divided as follows: 50% ads and 50% for content creation.
  • Create a landing page to gather all the information of the event in one place, such as the date, time, location, and speakers. Also to collect email addresses from potential attendees: $200 USD
  • Merch: 20 tshirts - $200 USD (plus next round)
  • Run social media contests and giveaways. A simple way to generate excitement and engagement before the event. Gift cards to buy merch on the metaverse: $200 USD (divided into 8 packs of $25USD each and send in NEAR)
  • Partner with other Near Protocol spanish speaking projects to cross-promote each other’s events and projects to reach a wider audience: $0USD
  • Reach out to local media outlets. Let them know about the upcoming event and see if they would be interested in writing a story about it: $0USD
  • Go to Universities and look for their participation: $200 USD
  • Money price for the Hackathon’s winners: $700USD (plus next round)

Total: $2,000 USD

We have as well, @Bancambios, @osc.near, @SOXAvisual as part of the team.

Hi @GerryAlvrz thanks for the proposal – given that a hackathon is at the core of this request, I recommend applying as a host via Hackbox as they may be able to support more comprehensively – that is exactly what they are set up to do: NEAR Hackbox Home Page by hackbox.near on BOS
