TLDR of the proposal:

Seed Club will plan, run and promote a Social Token track during the NEAR Open Web Community Hackathon taking place May 2021. Seed Club will pull on their extensive network and followers, engaging and educating developers, promoting cross-track collaboration, providing operational and logistical support and sustaining participation toward the final demos and bounty rewards. The track will connect its Social Token followers with the NEAR community, and feature educational content, training materials, judging and research design.

Seed Club will plan and implement the Social Token Track during the Open Web Community Hackathon. This will include:

  • Announcement and promotion of the Open Web Community Hackathon overall, as well as the Social Token Track specifically.
  • Organization and promotion of Social Token Track Market Bounties.
  • Programming and operations for a Social Token focused “Join a Team / Find a Team Event”.
  • Participation and support of Open Web Summit / Kick Off Event, including speaker curation and content moderation.
  • Learning / Support focus on Social Token content during the first weeks of the Hackathon, including presentations and/or videos, identification of mentors and coaches.
  • Coordination to support development across tracks, to encourage new use cases combining social tokens / NFT’s / DAO collaborative projects.
  • Support and oversight of the final demo judging and bounty payout, including judging criteria, identifying judges and disbursement of final bounty awards.

Potential ROI/impact on the NEAR Ecosystem:

Following on the success of the Seed Club Creator x Crypto Summit, many developers and community leaders are eager to engage, and are looking for opportunities to connect and start building together. The Hackathon will provide concrete ways for these newly joined members to participate, while providing the education and focus of the surrounding education and community activities.

  • 100+ Expected registrants for Social Token Track
  • Provide advice and mentorship to participants over the duration of the challenge.
  • The educational programming and surrounding events will engage additional participants in the NEAR ecosystem, and educate participants on the benefits of developing with NEAR.
  • Bounty rewards will encourage sustained participation overall, and participation in the Social Token Track specifically.
  • Development of new proofs of concept that combine social token usage with NFT’s and/or DAO’s.

Very excited to see the attention Social Tokens are getting at the NEAR Open Web Community Hackathon taking place May 2021.

I see great success metrics included in this proposal; we are here to support reach the expected registrants amount (100+) and share with out audience the results on new proof of concepts that combine social token and NFTs and/or DAOs! :star_struck: this convo is definitively shaping our future!
