Timeline: June 2022

  • Week 1: set a timeline for the month; set bounties; reach personalities for interviews; talk to teachers and writers; start to record events

  • Week 2: set the advertising material to publicize the Meta parties, the Meta Campfire and the Class day; start interviews; continue recording events

  • Week 3: collect the material to compose the magazine; hold the events of the month; make interviews; hold the class day event; still recording

  • Week 4: edit magazine, finish and mint it; hold the lasts events; edit, post and mint interviews; record events, edit and mint them; make class day, edit videos and mint it; make payouts, close month and make report

(The payments will be made in NEAR or DAI, whichever is more convenient for the DAO. NEAR value is set at the conversion rate it was sent by NEAR Foundation to the DAO)

===Metrics expected to be achieved:===

  1. Meta Interviews with Klara Kopi @klarakopi

    Final Products:

  • At least 3 interviews uploaded on the Metaverse TV, Metaverse DAO’s channel on YouTube, featuring 3 different NEAR Metaverse people/projects
  • At least 3 NFTs minted at the NEAR Metaverse History store (by Metaverse DAO): 1 will be sent to the person interviewed, 1 to the interviewer, 1 to the NEAR Metaverse History store to be kept as a historical record.
  • A transcription of the interview’s introduction will be added to the NEAR Metaverse Magazine edition of the month.

  1. Metaverse Recordings and NFTs @becopro

    Final Products:

  • at least 10 short videos from different events, minted on the NEAR Metaverse History store from Metaverse DAO
  • at least 10 short videos available on higher quality on the Metaverse TV Youtube channel (that belongs to the Metaverse DAO).

  1. Near Metaverse Magazine @beetlejuice

    Final Products:

  • The magazine edition #07, diagrammed and revised with at least 10 sections and approximately 50 pages minted on our Mintbase store, including:
    • articles and stories written by members of NEAR ecosystem (from bounties and the Meta Campfire event)
    • a record of the events held on the metaverse in the last month held by NEAR DAO’s and projects, containing links to the videos recorded, the metaverse spaces, where the event happened, the Mintbase NFTs created as a record of the event on our historical store, all provided by @becopro
    • a record of the transcripted introduction of the interviews conducted by @klarakopi, with links to their complete version videos on Youtube and their NFT records on our Mintbase historical store

  1. Meta Campfire @becopro and @klarakopi

    Final Products:

  • Event at the Metaverse DAO’s Parcel on Voxels;
  • an NFT (minted at Mintbase or Paras) to be send to the participant writers as a certificate of participation;
  • an NFT (minted at Mintbase or Paras) to be send to the best writer as a spot on the welcome list to the next edition of the
  • a wearable NFT created as an attendance reward for everyone that comes;
  • encourage participation, interaction and socialization on the metaverse;
  • a video of the event on Metaverse TV (our YouTube channel);
  • an NFT from the video minted at our NEAR Metaverse History store.

  1. Meta Parties @becopro, @klarakopi and @beetlejuice

    Final Products:

  • 3 events held on our parcel on different dates
  • at least 1 wearable to be given to the events participants as an attendance reward
  • an NFT record made from the event’s videos (as a gif or short video) on Mintbase or Paras
  • a video from the events posted on our YouTube channel

  1. Metaverse Class Days @beetlejuice and @klarakopi

    Final Products:

  • 4 classes held live on Jitsi by our selected teachers;
  • 4 edited videos from the classes uploaded to our YouTube channel;
  • 4 short videos (or gifs) minted on our Mintbase store or on Paras.

Total of products created by the DAO monthly:

  • 1 edition of the NEAR Metaverse Magazine with at least 50 pages of content
  • at least 16 videos (counting every video we create)
  • at least 20 NFTs (counting every NFT record we create)
  • at least 4 events held on our Voxels parcel

Hello Metaverse DAO!

As we transition as a community and prepare ourselves to give bigger reports back to NEAR Foundation for the metrics of our Creatives DAO Community, we would like to ask if you could add in a section at the end of your proposal around your expected metrics for success. This can be things likes number of participants expected, what outcomes, which/how many products, etc. Basically consolidating your outcomes into metrics. This will make it easier to relate to those number when you make your next report and when we make a larger report for the community as a whole.

We need the community to share metrics on their proposals in an effort to collectively prepare to approach NF to prove our value. I believe there is a way to do this with ease, we can help if you need help, our intention is for everyone to unify and gain stability in this moment. Next month we will implement a clear guideline of what is expected.

Here’s a description of our metaverse building, where we have teletransports to metaverse spaces of other DAOs, important links to NEAR content and so on.
You can also visit it here.
In March the land owner allowed us to use it for free, we rented it last month and we would like to keep our space on the metaverse because we think its a very important space with an important functionality and besides being a connection center we hold our events there with both people from the NEAR community and Voxels community.
If I missed anything else, please let me know and I’ll do my best to clarify it.

Hello again! The moderators team has expressed some concerns around the rental of this space due to the recent history that has transpired with owner of the space and the fact that the price is so high. Some have mentioned rentals are as low as $50 and that you could easily save and buy your own parcel that Metaverse DAO could have ownership over rather than being in perpetual payment cycles. We would like to understand why the owner is asking for such a high price for this piece of digital space?

Hi @adrianseneca ! The rental for $50 from what I’ve seen on the forum is per event, per hour, in a generic space, not renting a space so big and useful as ours, and not per month. Our events alone would cost at least $200, even more because our events usually have about 2h or more, people always stay longer, talking and hanging out together. And that was the price that all previews moderators were approving for 6 months, and that you approved last month. We do not understand why it is an issue now.

As for concerns with ThePhilosopher, he complied with every measure the moderators have requested referring to the complaint and in 2 days the period it was requested that he stepped back from council activities ends. I think there is no point in setting a punishment and not giving a chance for the person to prove themselves, specially when it was someone who onboarded and helped so many people and DAOs. The actual council (that includes 2 women) never had any problems with him, on the contrary, he always helps whenever we ask. He suggested lowering the rental value to $250 and we could save $250 to buy a parcel in the future. Every event we make, he attends and shares on SM, makes womps, brings a lot of people from the Voxels community and talks about our sponsor, NEAR Protocol and Creatives DAO to attendees, even during this period away. We even had a video call with Fritz, the whole council, plus ThePhilosopher, were present.

I dont know if you have already been to our parcel (Metaverse DAO - NEAR Metaverse Connection Center - 11 Trapp Ave - Voxels), but it has 4 floors (the building is about 20m high), has a giant spinning NEAR logo on top; 2 other NEAR logos on the first floor that also includes teleports to several NEAR DAO’s spaces and links to other NEAR Metaverse Projects; and on the 2nd floor we have “servers” with links to everything NEAR related, including the official sites. We have 2 floors for events, 1 for the Meta Campfire [a very successful event, our bounty had more than 70 interactions, we already have people looking forward to participate in the next one, more than 250 people attending on the 1st edition and the only people that were paid were the writers (the decoration for an immersive forest space with a campfire, Mintbase NFTs, organization, hosting, a video created to promote it and a wearable were all created for free, including the free publicizing from the philosopher)] and the other floor for parties.

We have an attendance to our events that few NEAR projects present on Voxels have, everything can be checked on our reports.

Other than that, every material we create is useful to NEAR DAO’s as a record of their history, minted on Mintbase, recorded on the NEAR blockchain permanently, recording the development of NEAR presence on Metaverse through its DAO’s. Many times we are the only people in the events from other DAOs, recording and being present to honor our community partners. We also advertise these materials on our building. So the building is not just any parcel, but a center for NEAR presence, building, parties, publicizing and history on metaverse.

Hi @adrianseneca , could please give us some feedback? We’re worried because we have bounties to post and events to plan and it takes a while for all the payout process to be completed

Thanks for the patience! We have been carefully deciding on each proposal and voting as a group of moderators.

We have decided that we would like to approve your proposal if you move forward with saving half of the $500 for parcel rent to own your own virtual space in the future!
