JUNE report

During the month of July we plan to have our second and third ZINEs published to grow our catalog and to keep nurturing the storytelling practice while we keep building our website to showcase DoiDoi projects.

After the comments and considerations given by CREATIVE DAO’ moderators, we took some time to finish our project and wrote a better report for the month of July.

In order to carry out the actions we planned for this DAO and achieve the goals proposed for the month of June, we request funding for the following costs and activities:

council activities: 3x50$ = 150$ (all members)

administrative work (proposals, reports, forum and instagram management) = 250$

sale management + promotion = 300$

Hello @atshim, thank you for your proposal, looks like a very creative activity. Also, congratulations on launching your website!

Before we will move forward, I’d like to ask you some questions:

  1. How much N are you going to spend on wallet creation? Also, which NEAR tools are going to be used for this activity? How many members are you planning to onboard? Are you going to add them to your DAO?

  1. Could you please provide some metrics that could measure your success as a DAO based on DoiDoi’s council opinion?

  2. I see nice initiatives in “We can’t all be cats” and “ZINE#1: ALONE OUTSIDE”, however, I don’t see any benefits for the NEAR ecosystem of the proposed activities. Could you please provide a little insight regarding NEAR dapps/tools that you are willing to use? How the NEAR community will be able to interact with your content?

  3. Do you plan to mint NFTs or create a gallery with your arts?

Hello Paul, I’m gonna try to answer all your questions.

  1. We are planing to open a wallet for each new artist and explain how the community works. We requested 300$ for the artist and that money will also be used for opening the wallet.
    For now we cannot onboard more that one artist, this month. We are trying to create artistic projects that are very time consuming and hands on. We are printing, assembling, glueing… all the zines. And we take care of this together. To work with other artists we need a very good communication to ensure that the final piece is exactly what it’s suppose to be.
    That being said, we want to test how things go with an outside artistic in order to be able to have open-calls in the future. With an open-call we’ll be onboarding all the participants in the near ecosystem. We just want to test the all process of onboarding and creating a zine with an artist to make sure that during the open-call everything runs smoothly.
    We are also looking to expand the council so we’ll be looking into the artists we support as potencial new council members.

  2. DoiDoi DAO is just starting so it’s not clear yet how we can mesure the growth of our community. The metrics we propose are designed to point us in the direction of our main goals. This metrics will be reevaluated as the DAO grows if we see that it’s better represented in alternative ways. For now the metrics we propose are as follows:

  • Number of projects funded;
  • Monthly visits to DoiDoi’s website;
  • Number of Exhibitions/workshops supported or organized by DoiDoi DAO;
  • Number of wallets created through DoiDoi DAO activities (bounties, open call, live events, etc.);
  • Instagram followers.
  • NFTs in the mintbase store.

  1. We at DoiDoi DAO have two main goals: supporting underrepresented artists and bridge the editorial and digital worlds. We are at the beginning of this process and we want the input of the artist in regards of the digital version of their work. Not only we will be researching all the dapps and tools available in the ecosystem, we will show them to the artists so they can decide what’s the best fit.

  2. For now we’ll be creating a mintbase store and we’ll have NFT’s from the projects already going on, like ALONE OUTSIDE.

We are setting the foundations in DoiDoi DAO to be community driven. So it is very important to us that the artists supported by DoiDoi DAO have agency on how their work is showen in the NEARverse. And we think that this approach is going to bring a lot of innovative ideas.
