Potential ROI/impact on the NEAR Ecosystem:
Establish NEAR as the leading choice for creators in the blockchain space. Raise awareness and build on top of NEAR and Mintbase.

CreateBase is one of our most active and productive Guilds. The activity level of # of proposals of this group/community has grown to the level that is not manageable by Caro and Nate (founders of Mintbase) any longer. They are requesting support from NEAR to hire 1x FTE community manager to properly manage and grow this Guild.

Primary target audience and members of this group are creators in the blockchain space. CreateBase can act as a shining example of successful Guilds in the NEAR ecosystem.

Amount of funding:
1x FTE community manager (remote). Max expected salary 40-60K$ and 25% of it is covered by Mintbase team. A significant % will be in NEAR tokens.

This proposal was pre-approved by Illia (above 30K$) and is being submitted here for reference.

Hey All,

I think this is a good initiative but here are a couple of concerns as the funds are allocated or proposals like this replicated.

  1. The role candidate should NOT be exclusive to a single NEAR Community. I realize that at times it may be FT in one community, but we expect EXPERT level handling of ALL NEAR Community topics (What is NEAR, economics, Wallet, etc…) in addition to e.g. CreateBase specific topics.

A good test for (1) :point_up: would be “can this community manager stand in for NEAR’s community manager if they become incapacitated?”

  1. The framing is NOT “NEAR will pay for your community manager”, but rather “If you have an amazing and growing community with an all-star manager, who’s a major NEARKat, we’ll offer you a monthly stipend.”
  2. App/Protocol & Users are exclusive to NEAR

Hey Matt! Good points :slight_smile: I think we also discussed this in our CC call #2.

Re 1. there is massive (more than 2 people full time) work load only in CreateBase. The community managers are specialised and will only focus on the creators space. CreateBase will likely grow into several communities and ideally becomes the Metacartel of creators space/economy.

Hope you’re keeping well - it’s looking like the Createbase Guild is alive and well, which is awesome to see!

I know it’s been some time, but would just like to follow up on this.

How did things go on this front? Is the CM still with you? A general update on how things are going in regards to this would be amazing!
