Our Project
In the ever-evolving landscape of blockchain technology, the NEAR Protocol and Aurora have emerged as powerful platforms with the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with the digital world. At the heart of this transformation lies the need for education and awareness, especially among grassroots users who may be unfamiliar with the intricacies of Web3 and blockchain systems. That is why we are Aurora ES Near (Aurora ES(Spanish) Near) community.
Our community builders team is dedicated to addressing this need, and we are excited to present this grant proposal to embark on a mission of education, awareness, and engagement with NEAR Protocol and its ecosystem in the Spanish-speaking community. Our goal is clear: We aim to onboard new individuals into the world of NEAR, guide them through the process of creating wallets, and empower them to interact with web3 technologies.
To achieve this, we propose the creation of a monthly course designed to demystify the concept of the Blockchain Operating System (BOS) and enable participants to perform simple tasks within this ecosystem. This hands-on approach will not only enhance their understanding but also provide them with practical skills to navigate the platform confidently. As a testament to their participation, we intend to reward all course attendees with POAP (Proof of Attendance Protocol) tokens, utilizing platforms (like Shardogs or keypoms for NFTs), to further incentivize engagement and learning.
Beyond educational initiatives, we understand the importance of keeping our community informed about NEAR and its evolving ecosystem. Therefore, we pledge to provide regular updates and news in Spanish, ensuring that the Hispanic community remains well-informed and actively engaged.
By fostering education, awareness, and involvement, we aspire to strengthen the Spanish-speaking community’s connection with NEAR Protocol and Aurora. We believe that this initiative will not only benefit individual users but also contribute significantly to the growth and vibrancy of the NEAR ecosystem in the Latin region.

Scope
As more than 80% of the content available on Near is in English, we have taken a deliberate step towards sharing information with the global Spanish-speaking community in their native language. We aim to educate and equip Spanish-speaking communities by creating informative resources that can be utilized to encourage interaction and engagement.

Goals
Our project is driven by a set of clear and ambitious goals that align with our mission to educate, onboard new users, and build a vibrant Spanish-speaking community around NEAR Protocol and its ecosystem. These goals are designed to foster understanding, engagement, and widespread adoption:
1. Education and Awareness:
• Goal 1.1: Educate the Spanish-speaking community about NEAR Protocol, its core concepts, and its ecosystem with quizzes, guides articles, AMA.
• Goal 1.2: Onboard new users by guiding them through the process of creating wallets and using decentralized applications (dApps) on the NEAR platform. Allowing participants to perform their first blockchain transaction, thereby demystifying the process and reducing barriers to entry.
2. Utilize BOS as a Community-Building Tool:
• Goal 2.1: Educate grassroots users about BOS and its potential as Web3 platform to communicate, inform, growth communities in a simple way. Using BOS articles and Easy Poll.
• Goal 2.2: Cultivate a strong and active Spanish-speaking NEAR community, where members collaborate, share knowledge, and support each other.
3. Marketing and Awareness Campaigns:
• Goal 3.1: Create engaging marketing contests that incentivize community members to promote NEAR on social platforms like Twitter, NEAR Social, and more.
4. Community Growth and Collaboration:
• Goal 4.1: Expand the reach and influence of the Spanish NEAR community, attracting new members and partners to contribute to our mission. (Networking with other communities)
Deliverables

4-6 BOS workshops/AMAs for base users. In each session, we grant a POAP at the end of each class attendees who complete and have submitted their assignments win a Shard Dog NFT.
