Hey all, Happy Friday and hope you had a great week! Ending the week with another overview of what’s happening in the NEAR Ecosystem, what’s being built on NEAR, community events, and any other interesting things around the community/ecosystem!
Project updates/spotlights:
- Harmonic Guild is creating an audio/video distribution platform - with a trial account feature! They’re making onboarding a breeze with integration of Keypom’s’s BOS component.
- Flipside is developing tools for community analytics that allow people to run SQL queries and create dashboards, all on NEAR’s BOS!
- Satori is innovating with a platform called NEAR Tasks, where users can earn rewards by completing simple tasks! Their focus? An online reputation system, task distribution, and task verification & payment.
- Pikespeak is crafting an NDC dashboard - a one-stop spot to view all DAO data, engage and vote - Built on the BOS!
- Loozr, a decentralised music streaming platform built on NEAR, has been ramping up on their road to mainnet and plan to launch on NEAR mainnet alongside a curated collection of Africa’s top celebrity musicians, each with a substantial following of 1m+ on social platforms and at least 1 million monthly streams on Spotify.
Partnerships:
- NEAR Foundation announced a partnership with the first brand launching being Santos tequila. Santos Tequila is owned by American restaurateur, Guy Fierri and American rockstar Sammy Hagar
- Sail GP announced their fan engagement platform, The Dock. Fans can sign up for a personalised account, engage with exclusive content, and earn points that can be redeemed for exciting rewards. Built on NEAR!
- NEAR Foundation’s new partnership with Urbit will enable developers to deploy self-hosted applications powered by the Blockchain Operating System (BOS) on Urbit servers!
- Skoda India (parent entity leading the market for Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini) is building an NFT platform to launch NFTs as one-of-a-kind digital assets that offer a unique way for customers to engage with and own a piece of Skoda’s history and brand. The NFT collection will be launched in India and then globally. The platform will be aligned to Skoda’s global metaverse - Skodaverse.
- Facilitated by NEAR Korea Hub, NEAR Foundation announced a partnership with Vortex Gaming! A Web3 Subsidiary of Korea’s Largest Gaming Community INVEN, Vortex is a content-based game community that builds services optimised for Web3 games (7.2M MAU’s).
NEAR Eco/Community Events:
- Banyan’s NYC Demo Day kicked off on June 15th in collaboration with Mastercard Start Path and NEAR Horizon to bring together top ecosystem projects!
- NEAR Foundation’s COO - David Weinstein - recently joined NEARWEEK for an insightful Twitter Spaces where they took a deep dive into David’s journey to NEAR, his unique perspective on NEAR’s BOS, and why we need the OpenWeb!
- The NEAR Hacks team ran a NEAR Horizon Workshop Thursday 22 @ 4:30pm UTC! It was open to all and consisted of an interactive session all around what NEAR Horizon is, a comprehensive walkthrough of the platform, support initiatives the team are working with, partnerships, and more!
- On June 28th Mintbase will be hosting a DemoDay showcasing the great projects that have come out of the Mintbase Grants Program!
- Planning on heading to EthCC July 17-20? Be sure to join the NEAR @ EthCC telegram group to ensure you are in the loop on comms that will roll out as the event NEARs (
), and also to coordinate meeting up with folks while there! - Near Base @ Supermoon Station welcomes builders & founders from the Near ecosystem to build together under one roof during Paris EthCC (July 17-20). This special experience is designed to incentivize collaboration and provide a curated ETH CC agenda.
NEARCON 2023:
The NEARCON 2023 website is now live, head to nearcon.org to check it out!
The site is 100% built on BOS, and ticketing onramps were built by a wonderful NEAR ecosystem project, Veriken.
This is a huge milestone, and the website and ticketing solutions are unlike anything built in Web3 so far. This is truly the next generation of ticketing, and it’s being displayed at NEAR Ecosystem’s very own flagship event!
Tickets are available for $79 USD until July 1st, and then will be $99 USD for the duration of the sales period.
In August, attendees will receive their official NFT ticket created by Keypom, which will be loaded with lots of amazing surprises! 
For those looking to resell their tickets for any unfortunate reasons, this can be done on the amazing Mintbase platform!
As the weeks go on, the website will be updated to reflect confirmed speakers, agenda, side events, and more… so DEFINITELY bookmark it and keep your eyes peeled!
