I am seeking technical assistance regarding 2,247 USDT currently held in an uninitialized account on the NEAR network: 0x05594a3210d9bc0dc5ec3b9220c907963c48e945.
The funds reached this address via a NEAR Intents swap (Hash: DBWtVy1n4uF5VUj38SeoRKMyzm2PwocGmhDY3M6yvkxL).
Since Binance holds the private key for this 0x-address on other chains, what is the official NEAR protocol procedure for them to ‘claim’ or add a Full Access Key to this account so they can move the funds? Is there a specific CLI command or technical documentation I can provide to their wallet engineers to facilitate this recovery?
I got the similar issue where I made a transaction from Binance app with to a wrong recipient address(1018………), which shows the account does not exist on nearblocks.
Since the transaction was a success on the nearblocks, Binance could do nothing as I argued with them.
Is there a way to get access to this implicit account by any chance?
Sorry to say that if you sent the funds to the wrong recipient, there is no way to recover them. Even if the account does not exist on Nearblocks, an account will automatically be created once the funds are sent to receive them which no one has access to.
Recovery may be possible if the funds were accidentally sent to an EVM address, since NEAR now supports EVM wallets. However, if the funds were sent to an incorrect tx transaction or hash, there is unfortunately no recovery method.
Thanks my friend, ultra frustrated though, to me it is a huge amount of money. I tried to search if I could claim this nonexistent account but it seems to be impossible.
I hope no one makes such mistake anymore, cause it is so sad.
