Hi everyone! Mich here with some very exciting updates about our Sacred Waters DAO.
I was postponing the writting of updates until today because we were expecting the resolution of the judge yesterday on the provisional suspension of works on the Mayan Train from the lawsuit put by a member of our collective and 2 other divers as well another lawsuit that also got a provisional suspension from Cancun to Tulum, its been more than a month they have stopped but still managed to cut a big extension of healthy Mayan jungle. The resolution was postponed to this coming Tuesday 30th of May.

The goverment presented the required environmental studies the 17th of May a month after they had already started cuting kilometers of healthy jungle on top of caves, underground rivers and cenotes.And we have been reviewing it to point out all the missing pieces and refute what needs to be refuted. Even when this studies agree on all the severe damage that can be cause to jungle, aquifer and caves they ended up saying the construction of the train route was viable. The manifest of environmental impacts was submmited out of the legal time frame so we are expecting a favorable resolution to a definitive suspensions of the works.
4 members of the SACRED WATERS DAO @Cryptocoatl @Francesipimenteln @shiftshapr and @regentulummich took the first 2 day inmersion of Tulum Vivo/Paliengenesis course on Regeneration and transformative practices
It was a great series of excercises and teachings that helped us understand how we are working and how we can elevate our personal and colective energy and interactions to a more regenerative ecosystem for our community and ourselves.
We had a zoom/live meeting with 7 members of the colective to explain to them about the different tools NEAR protocol offers to escalate and make our efforts more efficient and trasparent. During the meeting we explainend about DAOS, NEAR protocol, tokens, smart contracts, NFTs, proposals and voting. We had biologists, spelelogists, divers, environmental education organization, photographers, tour guides and Mayan comunitives collectives.
Out of this meeting we had people in the group realizing how much potential this Web 3 tools have to not only help with the Mayan Train situation but to help with all the different environmental issues we have been fighting for decades in Quintana Roo. So the idea of making Sacred Waters Dao the mother DAO of all this different sub DAOs is going to be put in a proposal to change and expand the scope of our DAO.

We made proposal to pay the Tulum Vivo immersion for 3 members of our group.
Sent funds to recognize the hard work of one of our team members Juan de la Torre who has been working on water pollution issues in Quitana Roo since 2007.
We added Alianza Aquífero Ancestral to our DAO.
We spoke abot SACRED WATERS DAO in our Tulum Coin Meeting and all the atendants love the idea of having sub DAOs whitin this DAO.
We had another one of our DAO mebers finishing her NCA certificatiom this week.
And will be ready to onboard 4 new members to the DAO next week.
We are in the process of doing the NFTs collections proposals. Thinking of biodiversity and reforestation of the damaged jungle for the Mayan Train proyect.
We are helping organize a beach clean up for this next Sunday June 5th and giving attendants Near wállets and onboarding them to our DAO.
We helped with organing volunteers and donations to mitigate forest fires in Tulum and the Mayan Riviera.
We had a meeting to collaborate directly with NYU profesor Christopher Gaffney in his seminars and classes about regenerative tourism and some of our Regen Tulum initiatives incluiding SACRED WATERS.
