The following is a request for proposal for NFT based DAO This is something as a NFT founder, launching NFT collections and technical advisor to NFT WG I’d greatly appreciate it.
Why
- NFT Communities have requested this
- We have no governance layer or tooling for NFT based communities (except old implementation by Tonic Goblin’s NFT Drops, and keypom DAO Drop bot
- Old communities that founders rugged need a framework for holders to take precedent
- Current
- We also have no token weighted voting but fungible tokens pose more legal scrutiny
- Use governance as a reason to influence sale in secondary and influencer DAO addresses as treasury for royalties
- Build more complex implementations like nouns on NEAR
Features Include
- A forked version of sputnik-dao factory contract
- Ability to important contract addresses for nft collection to setup DAOs
- Votes are weighted based on ownership in NFT collections
- Ability to set different collections as different roles with different permissions. ANything a council could do on sputnik-dao, NFT holders should vote
- Built completely on BOS
Advanced
- Set 1 person 1 vote regardless of number of NFTs
- Able to snapshot DAO allocation based on NFT ownership at a time
