Report on Contribution Activities by the Japanese Community for December

Japanese Community Contribution in December & January

I don’t really understand the concept of guilds, so I’ll give a monthly report as a general “NEAR Japan Community”.
No compensation is required.
In fact, I haven’t received a single NEAR for any of my past contributions, so contribution rewards seem to be irrelevant to me.
I would like to ask for a change in the NEAR team that is unresponsive to this.

By the way, Shreyas asked me to report in December, but I will summarize the reports from December to the present.
Generally, it is a disadvantage because the reward for one month is reduced, but I have a special rule that the reward is not paid, so it will not be a problem.

Report the stats of each social media.

【NEAR Japan Twitter】
tweet:17 This may be the lowest number of tweets in the history of contributions to NEAR in the past. What existing and potential community members are looking for is NEAR progress information and real images. If you plan to expand and develop your community, your team should disseminate more information without relying on creative posts by community members.

impression:19,850 This is also very small considering the current market conditions. I’m also a community manager for Solana and Avalanche, but this number is less than half of them. In addition to the lack of information provided, the exposure of team members is also low.

Access to profile: 1,465 & Follower count: +17 Considering the number of access to the profile, the increase in followers, and the stats mentioned above, we can see that the reaction is “I participated with interest, but the information is disappointing.”
Basically, I’m mirroring official Twitter, but that’s not enough, so I’m trying to increase my own tweets. In the future, I expect that excellent CMOs such as “4nts guild” who actively disseminate useful information will be appointed.

【NEAR Japan Medium】

December article creation: 2
January article creation: 1

NEAR Japan Medium has created a Japanese version of the official article, but at the moment there is only one post in January.
The lack of this information is fatal.
Community members are more interested in the essential part of “Why NEAR?” And “What is NEAR’s advantage?” Rather than the self-satisfying interview event that is currently being tweeted.
In fact, the most read article in the past month is the “About NEAR Wallet” article.
I think usability should be emphasized not only in projects but also in community building.

・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・

I am gradually promoting the localization of other websites in Japanese.

I pray that we will return to the starting point of community building, which is to convey difficult things in a simple and easy-to-understand manner, rather than using complex systems and philosophical poems.

And I have been running NEAR Japan for over a year now.

It seems that everyone except me is getting some reward from NEAR.
If possible, please give me one NEAR or one T-shirt.
Please share some of your “gratitude and respect” with me.
I’ve contributed more to the portal than anyone else and I’m very sorry.

From NEAR Japan, a volunteer, to my beloved NEAR. :kissing_heart:

Hi Takeshi,

My understanding of a guild is that it’s a community that is affiliated or aligned with NEAR in some way, but still operate independently. Guilds are supported by NEAR. With that independence, comes the power of naming a guild whatever you think is most appropriate. If you think NEAR Japan community is the best choice, that’s awesome.

As discussed via DMs over the last 3 days, this happened due to a technical glitch and wasn’t intentional at all. Granted it took a while for us to figure out this issue as it was over New Year holidays, but I gave you a timeline on when you can expect to receive this, so I’m not sure about NEAR team being “unresponsive”.

We definitely want to give contributors their rewards. Admittedly, a technical glitch with Hello sign claim form was why we missed, in your specific case, but as I’ve stated previously on the portal thread and during our 1-1 discussion- the plan of moving to this forum itself is to ensure rewards are distributed on a monthly basis.

The information sharing part is also something that we’ve discussed in DM’s , but, for the benefit of people reading this, we’re working on posting updates here on the forum quite frequently. @mallynear is also working on ways in which we can share all of the updates with the community. But right now, I’d highly recommend "watching" categories on the forum. You can click on bell button on the Official updates section and other relevant sections you’d like to get information about. Apart from that, I’d also highly encourage subscribing to our youtube channel for more content. These channels aside, as you mentioned, you can definitely follow 4NTS and their channels to get updates from a community angle.

Attaching the NEAR in a nutshell. I’ve sent you the PDF version earlier today during our chat. What specific content do you think would be helpful to the Japanese community that doesn’t exist yet?

NEAR In a Nutshell

Do you think the NEAR 101, NEAR 102 and NEAR 103 workshops listed here would help people understand NEAR in an easy way? : NEAR | Learn
@amgando, our Head of Education, is working specifically on this, so if you have specific feedback on what you think we should be improving, do let us know. Again, what would really help us is insights about the profile of the audience. Are these developers? If yes, do they have web3 development experience? If not, what technology stack are they familiar with. Any data points would be helpful.

I wasn’t aware that you didn’t have a NEAR t-shirt! Let’s get you one! :tshirt: I’ve said this before, but if you have any challenges, feel free to reach out to any one of us on the community team- myself, @nima, @jlwaugh or @3UN1C3.

Cheers!
