Regrettably, certain targets were not achieved as our team concentrated on gearing up for the upcoming Hackathon in May. While prioritizing broader community activations, we understand that this focus may have led to oversight in some metrics.

Unmet metrics are likely to to be 10x’d at a minimum in May due to the significant activations we have planned (see below) - yet we understand that May reporting period metrics can not be considered for this April report and therefore the NEAR Toronto team respectfully and without contention is prepared to move forward in any of the above categories you feel were unmet in the reporting period.

May 2024 Activities Planned:

  • HawkHacks Hackathon
  • Laurier University Lunch & Learn
  • AI & Blockchain Workshop
  • BOS Workshop
  • Blockchain 101 Workshop
  • Post-Hackathon Activities
  • Multiple NEAR Ecosystem and Local Partnerships

Hello Team,

As discussed in the Telegram chat with you, I am not able to review this April report as few events mentioned here are scheduled for May. Apart, from that few more concerns:

  • 3 LinkedIn profile link in Dev activity. No activity proof is there.
  • I think there is some confusion, video needs to be posted on Video plaform and it should tutorial or some educational content. It’s simple a motion graphic cannot be considered as video.
  • Less posts on Twitter, but still okay. Telegram needs to be pushed in terms of engagement. Less interaction I have seen there.

I am happy to pay the initial 50% to Near Toronto (which was already initiated). Unfortunately, I am not willing to make second (2/2) payment for April. The rest is on other councils. I hope you understand.

Understood @iamanansari. We understand your perspective and have no contention as we understand we did not hit the intended metrics in time for the reporting period.

Although don’t have any expectations for the GlobeDAO team to accept these metrics for April. We would like the team to know that we hosted an event on May 11th (after this report) that was originally intended to be held prior to this report.

The event attracted:

  • 40+ attendees (computer science students / devs)
  • 15+ new wallets
  • Delivered 2 hours of NEAR 101 type content led by the NEAR Toronto team at Laurier University in Waterloo, ON
  • Photos/Videos will be posted to social and updated soon.

This event was a pre-hackathon event. The hackathon will begin on May 17th.
