[Report] KalakendraDAO Participation in Web3 Conf India

Hey Everyone,

Firstly I got to thank the council for approving us to represent Near Protocol as a community. Web3 Conf was so popular among web3 communities in India. Near Protocol being there has definitely been a great opportunity to show what we’re made of as a community and also attract more developers to work and build on this fascinating protocol.

We can proudly say, our booth has drawn a lot more audience than any booth which already defined the success of this campaign.

One positive outcome of this event - When we attended the Namastey NFT event at Banglore(April 2022), almost 75% of the web3 crowd were not aware of what Near Protocol is.

But at the Web3 Conf, almost 90% of the crowd knows what Near Protocol is, and one keyword they keep saying is " I’m closely following Near Protocol."

This defines how we have grown in India, and NF getting started with the Near India Hub is a major positive in Community Development. Big kudos to NF.

checkout the thing that we did at the Web3 Conf -

1. Number of Persons representing the Web3 Conf on behalf of Near
It is always great to represent a community for Community focussed layer one blockchain NEAR; we were nine members representing, four from KalakendraDAO, two from Aurora India, two from Naksh, and Finally one from Graffiti.

We had a great team representing NEAR and Aurora at the conference. Everyone was interested in our communities and communities on NEAR and how we came around as one to represent NEAR, and we were able to explain every bit of it in detail. We also had a lot of fun talking to people about us and getting to know them.
We look forward to the future collaboration to bring everyone into NEAR and Aurora, where we can continue to represent NEAR and Aurora.

2. Booth Design and Near Protocol Branding:
Our booth was designed keeping in mind three things - 1. To make it visually attractive so that people are curious to know more about us. 2. The design should be flexible enough to adopt the given booth environment, and lastly, 3. To have all the resources in one place for building understanding better.

3. Onboarded most active user to Near Protocol with the help of Satori
to be honest, we had a lot of issues with satori onboarding during the Conference, The Major one being the Network coverage and the Internet in the Conference & Booth Location; it is horrible that people could not claim their free NFT and Near Wallet for onboarding to NEAR. We had cool Cards Printed and Distributed throughout the Conference. The second thing we faced with the Satori was with the Claim Feature, Which didn’t work most of the time; Good Lord, we had some leftover Near drops from our previous events.

4. VR Experience on NEAR 3XR Stores

we had given a cool 3XR store VR Experience in our Booth. We showed Artworks of different DAOs and explained how Near had Leveraged Arts and Technology and future-ready products.

5. People / Projects Collaborated
As Kalakendra DAO Mission to Onboard Artist to web3 Space, After this Event, our Perspective has completely changed to modify our DAO Mission to not just onboard Artist into web3 Space but Also Web3 Enthusiast and Devs into web3 Space, Aligning with the Mission of NEAR Protocol.

We met @immanueljohn during this Conference, and he Now became a part of KKD as Advisor; he has the last experience in Solidity and rust. He helped with the Writing implementation of the NEP-819 Utility burn NFT Contract on NEAR, Collaborating with MarmaJ.

Also, we met @valpha.near for the first time at the conference. part of web3 Thamizha DAO has now onboard into KKD as Advisor. He is now helping Incubadora DAO to build their Dapps.

Blockchain Firm

  • Assert Mantle: NFT Marketplace supports artists and curates their Arts through various tools built on ADA. We had a Discussion even after the Conference. to build on NEAR. They are looking for ways to do that.

  • Growspace: Mutual funds for Crypto, Was initially built on Polygon, had an idea on Building on NEAR.

  • We collaborated with Various freelancers, and I invited them over to our Creatives to Take part in NEAR Community and Participate in Bounties.

Way lot of people attended, and a lot of the student community wanted to excel in the Near Ecosystem

Finally, on Aurora’s Side, there was a huge response from the audience and interest in building on top of it.

Learnings:

  • Always have a Contingency plan when organizing an event.
  • Keep Doing things constantly : To be honest, most of them who attended the Conference didn’t know only NEAR but also KalakendraDAO. We missed this t harness as one big community.
  • Embrace Opportunities: We tend to align Mission with Near Protocol, but in India, it is always needed a keep use of this type of conference and event in the future.

Next Steps:

  • As we started to Appear on NEAR Ecosyem as DAO, Our Prime Focus is to create a larger group to Leverage Products through that Community

  • Build More Projects on NEAR Through Hackathon or HAcker House.

  • Be a Decentralized Community chain to support Indians leveraging social Goods.

What KKD Up to Now?

  • We are part of MarmaJ Ecosytem
  • We are building out our native Ticketing Platform.
  • Helping MarmaJ with the NEP 819 on Meta build 3
  • Help Building Dapp for Incubadora DAO
  • Building an OWN Web3 Native Community to Leverage Products

And Finally, Some Fun

Last but not least,

Aurora India Represented in Woman in Web3
