- finished SoundSplash (Week8, Week9, Week10, Week11, Week12)
- took part in the process of designing the console
Summary:
I continued working on daorecords.io, created the front-ends for the upcoming weeks, with this, SoundSplash is now completed. We had a lot of meetings about the Console, now we are close to finalizing the planning process and will be able to start implementing it soon.
What went well and what went bad during SoundSplash
The template that we were using for the displaying of the NFT (Landing Page) originally was planned to be more generic, meaning, we wanted to be able to create new pages without modifying a lot of source code. We didn’t succeed in this. We always wanted some slight changes that resulted in the modification of the source code, so now we have a lot of copy-paste components that are slightly different.
On the other hand, as time progressed we more-and-more understood what are the things that we want to be customizable, so with our current knowledge, most likely we would be able to create a good page template that is highly customizable.
Another bad surprise was that sometimes we will need to change certain kind of things, for example the revenue table, the description, to name a few. The revenue table error was mainly my fault.
This was bad because we did these changes with altering the smart contract, on the other hand, again, this is valuable experience, now we don’t want all the information to be immutable, and with a DAO like structure it will be possible to change certain values by majority vote, for example the revenue table.
