Soundsplash Summary
Achievements:

List item Launching and guiding an incredibly diverse roster of global artists into the crypto space from setting up wallets, joining hubs of communication to live metaverse and twitter space events. It was a positive experience to begin to understand what each culture or style of artist needs to on-board into the space and understand the needs of specific types of artists.

List item Being a part of a ground breaking FonoRoot system of NFT sale which moves toward the standardization of marketplace for digital assets.

List item Connecting and communicating with community partners and learning what others are building in the NEAR ecosystem and working together on the points of connection and collaboration.

List item Development of skills by continued work in the web3 space as well as fielding questions and concerns from participants to collect common needs from creatives entering the space.

List item Live events coordinated with metaverse Soundsplash drops were fruitful events, and it was a good learning experience to hold these live events and consider different ways in-person events can enhance metaverse launches (and vice versa).
Challenges & Improvements:

List item Event drop timings are difficult when there is an international roster of talent, team and audience. The first few Soundsplash drops happened at the same time and saw a building of momentum as participants expected to attend on Wed 9-10am EST. However after the initial drops, artists chose their timings and it became a bit confusing for others to participate.

List item DJs from the drops were able to perform live, while artists only presented an interview. I believe that artists should all be asked to submit an online performance of the minted NFT to inspire audience connection and NFT purchases.

List item There isn’t a clear dashboard for artists to see how many of their NFTs have been sold or see how much splash they have earned (in one centralized place.) It was suggested they look at their crypto wallets to see how many NFTs have been sold, however it would be easier esp. for newly onboarded users to be able to see their transactions together with their marketplace.

List item Slow trajectory of learning from the artists to begin interacting with the space until their launch event. Prior to their launch, artists did not interact in group chats unless prompted to. The talents seemed focused on familiar web2 platforms and put most of their time in those areas unless given step by step attention to post and participate in web3 platforms.
