[Rejected] Freelancer DAO

Overview

Freelancer DAO has swiftly developed a robust framework in line with the NDC initiative’s principles, emphasizing community-driven governance, fund control, and independence. This structure is designed to promote active user participation within the NEAR Ecosystem by focusing on community outreach, education, and onboarding strategies. The proposal aims to foster awareness, educate individuals on NEAR’s infrastructure, and transform new-comers into engaged participants, ultimately contributing to the ecosystem’s growth and sustainability.

Purpose

The initiative’s objective is to empower the community in expanding the ecosystem’s outreach through a structured framework governing Freelancer DAO. All freelancers will operate within this framework to drive remarkable development and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) beneficial for both the DAO and the entire NEAR Ecosystem. By adhering to this structure, our aim is to foster substantial growth and measurable progress.

When the Engagers focus on onboarding the DAO aims to educate and expose to our community all the Ecosystem Apps and how they can find their bearing around it.

Section 8- Budget

DETAILED BUDGET FOR TRANSPARENCY : Freelancer Dao BUDGET - Google Docs

DEVELOPERS ONBOARDING PLAN : FDAO Developers Onboarding Plan - Google Docs

Section 9 : DAO longevity

Does your project/DAO require one-time or continuous funding?

Our DAO requires continuous findings from the community treasury till we attain the goal of being sustainable and able to yield our own funds and partially dependent on CT
Our DAO would be able to sustain when the necessary infrastructure to do so is available and mass engagement .

What are the possible roadblocks to the success of your project/DAO?

Our draw back or roadblocks of the success of our DAO is not able to get a good developer to build and help create what we’ve planned to achieve, We’ll overcome our DAO’s hurdle by expanding our search for skilled developers, fostering partnerships with developer communities, and offering incentives to attract talent.

Establishing and nurturing an involved and vibrant community on the Socializer platform, To deal with this, we’ll do things like involving the community more, keeping communication open, and using what users tell us to make the platform better.

Many other platforms in the NEAR blockchain and decentralized app space exist, and new ones could emerge, making it a competitive field. To stay ahead, Socializer will keep inventing, staying updated on what’s happening in the industry, and quickly meeting what users want.

The basic concept and scopes the freelancer DAO has introduced is to Promote, Build and Market NEAR in the process of onboarding newly interested users to Educate and dilute them with the knowledge about NEAR and it’s Decentralized Applications.

NEAR Needs the community to grow, NEAR needs the community to be active users and make use of its Infrastructure and enjoy the benefits and opportunities of Ecosystem DApps.

SET KPI FOR THE DAO

The Freelancer DAO will regularly analyze these KPIs to assess the effectiveness of its onboarding strategies and make data-driven decisions for improvements. For example, if the Accounts Retention KPI shows a drop in user retention after 4 weeks, the DAO can investigate the cause and make adjustments to improve user engagement during that critical period. Similarly, if the account acquisition cost is high, the F-DAO will surely explore more cost-effective onboarding methods.

By monitoring and optimizing these KPIs, the Freelancer DAO can refine its onboarding process, enhance user retention, and expand the user base on the Near Protocol blockchain.

Accounts Retention after 4/8/12 Weeks:

  1. Application: Track the percentage of new accounts that continue to interact with the Near Protocol blockchain over specific time periods expected to retain 80% on onboarded engager( 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks).

User Onboarding and Education:

  • F-DAO will provide more comprehensive onboarding materials and tutorials that guide engagers through the process of creating and managing their dapp profile on Near Protocol. Make these resources easy to understand and accessible to users, like articles, infographics, and videos.

  • On-chain contests and workshops on how to leverage near protocol . Educating users about the benefits of BOS, Defi, and NFTs can increase their motivation to stay engaged with the platform.

  • While motivating users to interact with multiple dApps, the DAO can increase their overall engagement and make them more integrated into the ecosystem. F-DAO has set up contests to facilitate and keep the engagement coming.

We are fully aware that this KPI is set to measure the effectiveness of the onboarding process in retaining new users. It provides insights into user engagement and can help identify any drop-offs in the onboarding journey.

Tracking tool 0n-Chain

Pikeshare AI

Account Acquisition Cost:

  1. Application: Calculate the cost of acquiring new users by dividing the budget allocated for onboarding initiatives by the number of accounts that successfully interact with the Near Protocol blockchain.

Marketing and Promotion Costs:

This includes expenses related to marketing campaigns, advertisements, social media promotions, content creation, and other promotional activities aimed at reaching potential users.

Educational Resources: Expenses related to creating and disseminating educational content to help new users understand and utilize the Near Protocol blockchain. This includes tutorials, workshops, documentation, and onboarding materials.

Incentives and Rewards: incentives rewards for contests and community activities we will offer to encourage new users to join and actively engage with the blockchain. The cost of these incentives contributes to AAC.

We are fully aware that this KPI assesses the efficiency of the onboarding process. By reducing the acquisition cost, the Freelancer DAO willoptimize its budget allocation and improve cost-effectiveness.

Median Number of dApps Used by P95 Accounts Retained for 1+ Week:

  1. Application: Measure the median number of decentralized applications (dApps) used by the top 5% (P95) of retained accounts who have been interacting with the Near Protocol blockchain for at least fourweek.

While we have a list of Dapps to explore we will also give room to our engagers to explore other dapps and tell we at F-DAO interesting dapps that we should consider adding to our dashboard.

We are fully aware that his KPI reflects the depth of user engagement and their willingness to explore and use multiple dApps. It helps the DAO assess the diversity of user interactions and adapt onboarding strategies accordingly.

Number of Accounts Retained for 1+ Week Using at Least Three dApps:

  1. Application: Count the number of accounts that remain engaged for at least one week and actively use at least three different dApps.

While we have the most-active engagement contest for ecosystem dapps and be able to track the numbers easily from our events.

We are fully aware This KPI promotes the retention of users who are actively engaged with multiple dApps. It indicates that users are exploring the ecosystem and finding value in various applications.

Social Engagement Score:

  1. Application: Develop a composite metric that combines the number of user-generated social media posts, likes, and followers/views. 70% increase on F-DAO socials

Twitter analytics will be available for all users.

Telegram bot analytics of community member engagement

We will use Pikespeak AI to track on-chain engagements.

Manual and Pikespeak metrics to track engagements based on numbers of DAO near-social likes, reposts, and comments

We are fully aware the social engagement score measures the level of activity and influence users have on social media. It can be a reflection of the success of the onboarding process and the enthusiasm of new users in promoting the Near Protocol blockchain.

Thanks. @Dk_51 for taking the front line and believing in F-DAO. Would love to see other members vote positively on Astra

Due to budget reduction for interim period in V1 and limited funding, Freelancer DAO has decided to reduce the requested funds for this
stage.
Changes made:
a). Building on BOS Budget has been reduced but NO change on building strategies, Widget + Smart Contract
b). Remuneration for Core has been
decreased.
c). External marketing & Community Contest budget reduced but again NO change on KPIs.

Reducing budget doesn’t aim in Reducing building, Freelancer DAO aims to increase metrics by 30% / Month.

Plans to achieve the goals set by KPIs remain
unchanged.

One question I have about the proposal is why council remuneration is planned to increase, but the number of engagers supported does not seem to be increased in the budget?

What additional duties are expected of council on subsequent months to warrant the additional funding?

Would love to see F DAO as part of the NDC, but imo I would like to see clear metrics hit before the budget is expanded from the initial 15k. Voting yes to FDAO joining the NDC, looking forward to seeing the report at the end of month one :pray:t4::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:.

Thanks for your support, council remuneration tend to increase cause of Cost of OPs as we are 5 councils.
The actual budget was 3600$ for 5 Councils budget cause budget were slashed we had to reduce from January and also reduced from January as for March was increased due to building, would be making documents and guides on how to use infra also create a framework for engagers too by given them a targets & KPIs for each month to meet to be eligible for funding since we have created a tier system for funding according to engagers achievements.
Also we would be creating App form and holding interviews section for Ambassadors to get the best.
This task could be done earlier before March just fixed the budget during March.
These are the reasons why
