Funding Scheme : Monthly

Metrics of Evaluation

  1. Accounts Retention: Aim to retain 50% of our onboarded users after 8 weeks, maintaining interaction on the chain.
  2. Account Acquisition Cost: Target to reduce the acquisition cost to below 5 USDC per account through our initiatives.
  3. dApps Engagement: Ensure that at least 40% of accounts retained for over 1 week engage with more than one dApp in the NEAR ecosystem.
  4. Social Engagement Score: Through our various channels, target an overall 10% increase in posts, likes, followers/views in the coming month.

Strategy activity

  1. Onboarding and Education
  • Dynamic Community Management (Telegram): 24/7 assistance for NEAR ecosystem inquiries. Expect 2-3 daily news and educational content updates. Funding: 700 USDC
  • Social Media Presence: Daily updates, articles, videos, infographics, and translations. Posting on Near.social. Funding: 1,350USDC
  • Thoughtful Content Creation (Medium): Bi-monthly in-depth articles. Funding: 250 USDC
  • AMA Sessions: Bi-monthly sessions to address community inquiries. Funding: 200 USDC

With the current situation, here’s what we can do:

  1. Build a database of active NEAR Indonesia members by identifying their wallet addresses. This will allow us to track their participation in activities and daily interactions without any boosters or incentives. Given the current circumstances, we can only track this manually through platforms like NearBlocks, PikeSpeak, and by collaborating with dApps like Shard Dog and Arkana to extract data from them.
  2. With the new KPIs in mind, we believe we can provide reports on account retention after 1/2 weeks, based on events or campaigns created. Additionally, we will calculate the Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) per event and CAC per total budget spent. Campaigns can be designed to ensure consistent interaction with dApps that users must visit or engage with.
  3. Utilize third-party applications like Galxe, Zealy, and similar tools to determine missions that members should perform both on-chain and off-chain, including activities on popular social media platforms.
  4. In terms of popular dApps, the focus remains on financing (metapool & REF), wallets (MNW & Here), and top apps like Sweat and Arkana. The most crucial aspect is ensuring engagement and onboarding. Furthermore, it’s important to demonstrate that the NEAR ecosystem in Indonesia is active and promising for the crypto community. Currently, NEAR Indonesia is recognized and well-received, with significant potential for future collaborations compared to other blockchain ecosystems in Indonesia.

Thank you for your proposal.

  1. In your previous funding report here https://gov.near.org/t/report-near-indonesia-activity-september-october/36643 you did not provide the main reports of why we funded you during September period, which is building a community page that tracks onchain activities in your communiyy.

  2. Your proposal also did’nt align with our core KPIs Here is a link to the MarketingDAO Guidelines for October that were posted on the forum. They contain the NDC’s KPIs we are asked to focus on for allocating this month’s funds.

I’ll paste them here so it’s easier to review:

Please use the following metrics that will be used for tracking individual initiatives’ performance by Marketing (Eco) DAO. All the metrics must be attributable to the relevant project/initiative through on-chain activity and off-chain reporting, ensuring GDPR compliance and preserving privacy:

  1. Accounts retention after 1/2/4/8 weeks — the percentage of accounts who continue interacting on the chain over a given time period (higher is better)
  2. Account acquisition cost — budget divided by the number of accounts interacting through the funded initiative (lower is better)
  3. Median number of dApps used by P95 accounts retained for 1+ week (higher is better)
  4. Number of accounts retained for 1+ week using at least three dApps (higher is better)
  5. Social engagement score — some compound metric of the number of posts, likes, and followers/views in social media produced by the users.

Let’s take this example: Why should Marketing (Eco) DAO fund Project X?

  1. Project X should have a clear goal and target audience
  2. Project X should bring improvements to several metrics listed above

Based on the above, can you share:

  • Which of the above KPIs your initiative will use if funding is received
  • How you will track and share the results with MDAO so we can have visibility into the results?
  • What is the most important aspect of this proposal, the most crucial to fund – what will have the most impact for the community?

The reality is that MDAO has 35 pending proposals for limited funds, so it is likely we will be asking for revisions and some reductions in scope in order to fund the highest impact activities and projects as we move into mid-Q4.

Thanks!

Thank you for responding, here I will explain.

  1. We previously asked for funding of 4000+USD to build community onchain activities but we were asked to reduce that by half.

  2. With a limited budget, we tried our best to use the maximum possible budget to create widgets that were useful for the community, so we created Calendmy.

  3. For October proposal, we don’t have a problem if we use personal money for campus visits, if the visit is not included in the NDC KPI. because we have had previous collaborations, before this month’s KPI appeared.

  4. Our proposal very clearly follows several previous regional proposals and is in accordance with the KPIs of the NDC.

  5. We always deliver the best for the growth of the near and builders community in Indonesia by creating activities in October, even using our own budget before we knew there was a community budget for October. You can see all the result on my previous report.

October’s proposal has been revised become $2500 and we have removed the budget for campus visits. Thank You.

Hi @marketingdao-council team,

Certainly, we understand our respective positions, both the transition and the need to adapt to the constantly changing KPIs in just a span of 2 months.
