[Approved] NDC Nearcon Takeover

OBJECTIVE

Our objective is to create an engaging and interactive space at NEARCON, where conference attendees can connect with representatives from NDC and members of the House. This space will serve as the NDC office hours, providing a platform for community members to engage in meaningful conversations, learn more about NDC initiatives, and collect some swag.

CONFERENCE DETAILS

  • NDC Booth & NDC Zone / Office Hours Area
    • Date: November 7-10, 2023
    • Location: Convento Do Beato Alameda do Beato 40, 1950-042

OVERALL SMART GOALS

Specific: In the end, our general goal is to inform conference goers about the amazing NDC election recently held, answer any questions about the transition from V0 to V1 and V1 governance plans, as well as creative ways for others to join the NDC ecosystem.

Measurable: To help define our result in quantitative or qualitative terms, we will be looking at the amount of the following:

  • In order to receive merchandise from the NDC booth, conference goers will be required to interact on chain. If they do not have a NEAR wallet they will be required to create one before receiving merch. Our goal is to get at least 500 on chain transactions.
  • 750 in-person impressions via the booth, office hours and side events.
  • 50k+ online impressions via social media platforms (i.e. Twitter, TikTok etc)

Achievable: With over 5000 people attending the conference and a motivated marketing team, we feel confident that we will meet and exceed our 150 in-person goal and 50k+ online impressions.

Relevant: In alignment with V1’s recent priorities, we will be focused on community growth. Specifically communities of account holders with high retention.

Time-bound: We will complete our goal of 150 conference goers, 750 in-person and 50k+ online impressions one month following the NEARCON conference.

NDC @ NEARCON MARKETING STRATEGY:

  • NDC will be using all of its social media accounts (i.e. Twitter, IG, TikTok etc) to help promote that NDC will have a presence at this year’s NEARCON conference.

Is this the activity that ShardDog will implement and host, or another?

In your budget sheet, include the quantity of T-shirts, stickers, and notebooks, as well as the prices for each.

Again, 4,200$ in remuneration is excessive, and another 2,400$ for your travel means we have spent nearly half of the budget. It looks no good, please look into your staff payment.

Why don’t you apply via the Nearcon support grant by NF which is ongoing currently?

Dear @RussLive215 !
Our request to NDC trust has been approved. So please, create a transfer from Marketing DAO treasure to your wallet. Marketing DAO Proposal Funding Guide - Updated August 2023

It was a fantastic event, and thanks to the community generousity our Dao, Dao Ashé, created an ongoing collective drop of BIPOC and diverse art where we onboarded 8 artists during Nearcon who minted their work that week and will go on tell their collectors about NEAR. We expect 20 more wallet activations from artists minting in the collection in the next three months and will soon develop a strategy to showcase the work in various events to promote visibility and encourage collectors to sign up to NEAR.

This is the gallery of our exhibition in Mintbase:

Thanks to the NDC I had this amazing opportunity to be in Nearcon Lisbon this past week, and our Dao Ashé NFT Expo is a dream come true. At Nearcon I contacted Ruben from Mintbase, with whom I have had a very streamlined conversation during the last week about bugs I’ve detected using the system.

I also met with Soleco from Meteor wallet about the fact that the app does not show the real information of our NFTS, and their AI invents it instead. He will get back to us when the engineers fix that.

I had the pleasure to wax lyrical with several members of different DAOS like @joannaorlova.near from Near NY, Shawn, from Near Toronto, and OG @rhymetaylor who have given me precious information on how to set up and maintain a project. I was able to meet and talk to plenty of members of our community, and since I’m new in Near, it was great to feel part of that great spirit of innovation and togetherness IRL.

During my time spent at the NDC Nearcon area I did plenty of sketches of people who came round to visit us, and our Near mates, and I hope I did a good job at contributing to give the NDC space a bit of creative flare of my own.

I also shot plenty of videos during the Pizza Day whilst not being able to stop myself dance all night to the hypnotic grooves that @antmarshall was spinning on the plates. Yes, the twirling maniac, that was me!

Very big thank you, this is only the beginning for us, and this project will develop into a virtual gallery in Nearhub pushing the limits of technology with virtual and augmented reality, 3D, gaming and more. Big up to  @russlive215 for his amazing help and encouragement.
