[proposal] madama - a multi disciplinary live recording

Event dates:
Friday 12th of November

Pre-event residency:
Monday 8th of November to Friday 12th of November

Summary:
A three-day residency based event in Lisbon, Portugal, where team members will contribute with their artistic/cultural speciality and work as an ensemble to devise a one-off multi-disciplinary performance. The process will be facilitated by creative director Gonçalo Madama through a series of exercises and brainstorm gatherings that will foster a creative and interdisciplinary outcome. This collaborative work will then be performed and recorded with a small live audience at the end of the residency (12th of November). The core team of creatives are a mix of portuguese based artists specialised in diferente art forms such as illustration, painting, tattooing, music and video.

The creative team will consist of Gonçalo as director and musician who will also be covering the video recording aspect and scenery, as well as an illustrator, a painter and two videographers. The combination of these creatives will form a one-of-kind show/recording of a live performance where the music will conduct the creation of a wall illustration and a series of acrylic paintings stream, which will then be shared via the mutidao cryptovoxels space.

We have secured funding for the space rental for the live show, as well as artists stay, and we are proposing is for the following funding:

  • 800$ for the artists fees
  • 200$ for sound/light equipment rental and painting materials

Team members:
Gonçalo Madama: Creative Director and Musician

David Breda: Camera One Operator

Francisco Fidalgo: Camera Two Operator

Sara Tristão: Illustrator

Daniela Daphne: Painter

Ulpiano: Sound Technician

Ahoy Gonçalo!
Thank you for your proposal, looks awesome :green_heart:
Would like to point out some things that might be important to integrate in the proposal

  • Is the artistic team being onboarded (receiving wallets) and payed out through mutiSputnikDAO?
  • When is the first payout needed to cover for materials? Take in consideration that funding is split according to project milestones and the remaining payout will be done by the end of the project

Given that muti got more project proposals for this month and our aim is to be able to reach out as many creative minds as possible, muti can fund up to 700$ from the requested budget.

If that doenst meet the expectations and needs to create this beautiful project, please consider getting in touch with the awesome people in VrDAO and see the possibility to split funding between both DAOs @frnvpr @JulianaM

Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have questions about the proposal/funding and let us know how can we help further to make this happen :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
Looking forward to see this coming to life! Hugz!

Hello there,

First of all thank you for the support. I too am very excited to make this project happen!

• I’m in contact with the team and that question is on the table. Still didn’t have a reply from everyone, but it’s on its way. Not sure if every member is interested, but in that event I take the responsibility to receive the surplus and deliver it to whoever is entitled. I’m aware this is not ideal, but does this pose a problem?

• For now I can cover the expenses for the materials, so I’m not too worried about that.

Regarding the amount, I believe we can manage doing the work with the fund muti is providing

Ahoy! :green_heart:

After meeting with the council and discussing about the upcoming proposals for this month, this is what we would like to have included in the proposal in order to proceed with the funding:

Onboarding → this has been a practice for muti projects since the beginning and we find senseful to keep it that way. Please check on our previous funding proposals to have a idea on how to proceed and onboard your team.
We do understand that some things need to be paid in FIAT and pose no obstacles to that, so if questions arise while going through the process of conversion NEAR to EUR, muti is here to help and you can reach us in our channels.

As for the description on how the funds are being applied, we do find important to describe the values being paid to each intervenient, rather than having a bulk value.

Would also like to propose to include on your project, the minting of a NFT as a result of the collaboration and celebration of bringing this project to life, with split royalties between all the intervenients

As ‘On boarding’ you’re mentioning the team members entering the community right? If that is the case, it is being taken care of as we speak.

Regarding the description of how funds will be applied I can now be more specific as we now know how much funding we’re dealing with. Therefore, I’ll be adding a detailed budget on the project description (both for the participants and equipment).

Regarding including on the project the minting of a NFT as a result of this collaboration, we’ll be more than happy to do so and celebrate this creative birth with Muti

Thank you all for your feedback. It is crucial to have it, as I’m new to this world and am learning every second it passes.

Looking forward to the updated proposal :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Would just like to reinforce that the aim is to onboard anyone involved in these creative projects to the NEAR platform so that they can be introduced here, and apply for funding themselves. We will be running two onboarding / Q&A sessions per month for people who are new to this ecossystem. I’m happy to help with this process with you and the team if needed
