Introduction:
This is a proposal about a music video recording series we intend to start on blaqk stereo youtube which will invite several artists from around Lagos, Nigeria and in the Near future across Africa to make music in our studio as we film, edit and upload on our channel.
A quite similar case study is the Aktivated TV which is a youtube channel that makes music videos for various indigenous West African musical artists from their home-based studio. We intend to apply some principles from this case study but to make ours quite unique.
For this project, beats will be created and we will invite musical artists in pairs to form some sort of duo to record on these beats for our studio and the video will be recorded in a certain location.
Process:
Artists will be invited to the studio with no knowledge of the beats they will be working on, They will be grouped in pairs or more to create music on these beats. The process will be filmed as well as a final video shoot will be organized to record the performance of their just recorded single after which, the songs will be mixed and minted on Blaqk stereo store
Artists will be onboarded and fully integrated into our community.
Time duration:
This first episode is estimated to take 2 weeks for the full production.
Metrics:
- Onboarding of at least 5 artists from this first episode.
- Increased engagment on Blaqk stereo youtube channel by 40%
- Increased engagement in our community channel by 30%
- Addition of at least 5 new members to our Astro Dao.
*Creation of new content for our youtube page.
