Near.org revamp will be launched soon!

Dear community,

In the last months, we have been working hard on building a new version of the near.org website. We also could incorporate a lot of feedback from the community - thanks for all that input!

As we will shortly be launching this new version, I want to share some background info on it with you.

Goals of revamp

  • Help visitors find what they are looking for (based on needs and jobs to be done)
  • Have a consistent, easy to navigate structure
  • Make the “Why build on NEAR” and “How to start” much clearer for builders (developers and entrepreneurs)
  • Have dedicated content for people that are new to web3 and NEAR
  • Give the community a voice and showcase what they did

Fundamental changes were needed to reach these goals

  • Complete restructuring of the information architecture of the site, including navigation menu
  • Introduced a new design and layout for top-level pages that is engaging, clean, easy to read
  • Two in-depth sections dedicated for builders: “Ecosystem” and “Developers”
  • Two lighter sections dedicated for newbies: “Learn” and “Use”
  • Introduced an “About” section with other essential information outside of the core topics
  • Started to include community elements into the content (e.g. dApps, DAOs & quotes)

We reviewed and tested the new concept to ensure it works fine

  • Consultation of different subject matter experts within NF and the community
  • User tests with developers, users and entrepreneurs

Continuous improvement after the revamp

Initial focus will be on:

  • Applying the new design and layout successively to the remaining pages
  • Adding more community-focused content (e.g. success stories from people in the space - suggestions highly welcome!)
  • Fixing bugs & constantly optimizing the site

Your feedback highly welcome

  • If you find any bugs on the page or have suggestions on what to improve, contact us with this form
  • Please be patient if we can’t fix what you reported right away, we expect a lot of input in the first weeks

We expect to execute the go-live in the next few days - fingers crossed!
