FITA - friends in the arts is an online platform established for facilitating the search for job placements, opportunities, internships, open calls, fellowships, scholarships, grants, residencies, awards, workshops, conferences and collaborations between friends (and friends of friends) in the art world.
FITA was founded in 2020 as a cultural association with a digital platform in Web3 created by artists and curators in the Portuguese contemporary ecosystem bridging the gap between individuals and cultural organizations. @franciscogama, @zebernardo and me (@franciscagigante) work daily to help individuals find a job in the arts and have been establishing bridges with more individuals who would like to be part of this arts revolution.
We currently work with more than +800 artists and have successfully find a job in the arts for +90 professionals.
We have focused in the following areas:
- FITA Platform: Job Catalog updated daily with partner organizations sending opportunities in the arts
- FITA Magazine: published twice a year [on its third volume now] with Victoria and Albert Museum, Tate Britain, National Portrait Gallery, Royal Collection Trust, Hergé Museum, Guggenheim Museum, Atopos Venice Gallery, Gulbenkian Museum, Serralves Museum, Bordalo Pinheiro Museum, Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar, @Incubadora DAO, and many renowned artists and authors like Léo Caillard (NFT creator who works together with Musee du Louvre).
- FITA Kiosk: contemporary art exhibitions, poetry recitals and music concert festivals across Lisbon and Venice cities
- FITA Fest: unforgettable themed parties focused on music, video and performance art.
- FITA Awards: of Literature 2022 published by BookCover in September with the following categories Chronicle, Essay, Poetry, Short Story and Theater.
