We are a decentralized, trustless contribution DAO, a transparent community dedicated to helping members gain access to a neutral amount of USN and NEAR tokens contributed and shared over a timeframe. AjoDAO empowers its members to #Earn, #Save, and #Spend.
I had the idea that you add a mastermind to the project.
Masterminds are when groups of 3-5 meet periodically (usually monthly) and talk about their individual personal and work issues. Everyone gets a chance to be the focus of attention, where they say what is going on and what they need support with. The people in the group provide feedback and comments.
I think this could go very well with your program and provide education to people or personal development opportunities to people and networking opportunities along with the sharing circle. I think it could make it more likely that people make all their contributions and increase the likelihood that what they launch is successful.
I would imagine this being a monthly ZOOM meeting that everyone in the circle attends and they spilt into groups of 4-5 as breakout groups to do the mastermind process of about 60-90 mins. 15 mins each. 7-1/2 minutes talking and 7-1/2 minutes getting feedback.
I think adding the mastermind could increase the satisfaction with the program, as well as increase the likelihood that people are successful in their endeavors and fully participate (make all their contributions).
I was at an in-person Mastermind yesterday.
The format was:
Everyone speak take one minute to say what they do and three things they love about it
Randomly connect with one other person for one minute and each tells the other something they liked about what the other said (repeat 5 times)
Separate into groups of 4 or 5
Each person gets 10 minutes of focus. They speak for 2-3 minutes about what they are focused on and what they need and they get feedback for 7-8 minutes.
The guy who led it may be willing to speak with you or to maybe lead one ZOOM mastermind session for you. Let me know if you want me to reach out to him.
One technical thing that we want to figure out is what currency to use for the contributions: NEAR or NEAR’s stable coin, USN, and how we adjust for fluctuations in value between the Rand, the dollar, and NEAR.
I have been brainstorming on ways to build engagement, incentives, and rewards. Building Mastermind sessions would be fantastic for that. Please speak with the guy - I would like to know what it’s like.
As for contributions currency - I think we should use the NEARs stable coins for that because members of AjoDAO should be able to join either a Saving Circle/ Rotational Savings for short-term or a Group Savings/ Non-rotational Savings for long-term.
This pops the question - How will AjoDAO’s governance structure (groups) work for this?
Who will decide the lowest amount members can contribute for short-term goals?
Will members have to pay with interest if they want to borrow funds from the DAO?
What kind of perks, rewards, or power-ups will members receive for being active in the community?
How do we make it simpler for members to make contributions from their local currencies to USN.
That is an excellent idea. When can you arrange the zoom meeting.
Anything to give us more input on the activities and what steps are taking for growth.
1.How do we get investors to invest.?
2.I also thought of we need to put down an amount it will be to contribute each member montly and for a period till the payout. (Speaking of Ajo for its a monthly contribution)
3.Then we can add community to contribute
4.That be great if you can arrange an appointment
Please speak with the guy - I would like to know what it’s like.
My friend Emanuele says he is happy to do a call about masterminds or lead a mastermind session.

Stable coins make sense to me as well. How does the group savings work?

Probably the inner circle, the council of the DAO or the group of contributors
Will members have to pay with interest if they want to borrow funds from the DAO?
The inner circle or the council of the DAO will make this decision

Good question. Can you research any exchanges that serve your relevant location(s) to see which handle NEAR and USN? Perhaps, you could reach out to other folks from South Africa in the NEAR ecosystem through the governance forum and ask them how they change from Rand to NEAR or USN.

Awesome, can we have the call with Emanuele during the week? That would be great.

I checked for exchanges but couldn’t find any that would be able to withdraw NEAR from SA. The Good news is I am reaching out to Africa’s Near Community. We’ll find out soon.
