One-liner: Growing community by onboarding artists & audience with real-life events.
The idea involves creating and funding a whole event with NEAR, in a physical location, bridging the digital currencies to common use practice, adding value in the long term by expanding the community.
An App/dApp on iPhone & Android would be required to facilitate the utility and payments during events.
There are 4 key points do be taken in consideration, developed and structured within the physical side:
Fund event in NEAR → Onboarding artists and venue to the ecossystem.
- creating wallets and onboarding, walktrough the benefits of holding NEAR and practical usage
- payout artists, staff and logistics with NEAR, helping add real world usage and growing value to the token, bringing more people into the realm.
Event ticketing → Sell NFT art pieces as tickets, with split royalties between artists and organizer (in platform such as mintbase & dedicated App/dApp).
- NFT ticket can be re-sold and everytime a transaction occurs, royalties are split between everyone involved in the creative/artistic aspect of the event, creating a perpetual source of revenue for creators to keep creating.
In house payments → Direct benefits for NEAR Payments
- The event venue would also accept fiat currency, but there would be direct benefits when using NEAR (ie. discounts on merch/beverages/food/future event ticket pre-sales/hidden features/etc). This would motivate the audience to adopt and use their tokens.
The audience in contact with NEAR → reaching audience that never had contact with cryptocurrencies in a simple and familiar way, attending an event.
- Buying a ticket would be the same as on a traditional ticketing platfornm, but instead of creating a user log-in, the user is directed into creating a wallet.
- To help the process, a small amount of NEAR would be available to gift and pay off the first transaction fees when converting fiat into NEAR. This would require a native exchange/DEX platform to be linked in the process, that could convert fiat into NEAR with familiar payment methods and directly deposit in the newly created wallet.
- Final step would be linking wallet to the ticketing platform and finish the NFT ticket purchase.
As for the digital side of it, I have very little knowledge in development and tech, but the requirement would be a user friendly dApp/App to be used on site with smartphone/iPhone, connected to the NEAR wallet, allowing the storage of ticket NFTs and payments with QR code scan, also fiat deposit/conversion to NEAR, making it easy to integrate in real life events with all the utility on hand.
This can be used and applied in any sort of event, being it cultural, social and so on, since the idea is to embrace the token as a natural form of payment/usage.
