Planning a NEARHacks for next week

Partners: F3SVITAL (biggest Women in Web3 festival organizer Vancouver), BLU3DAO (women led DAO), NEARCanada, DTravel (Web3 decentralized accommodation platform)
3 day Hackathon
Start with networking, a few rust/pm workshops but mostly hands on advising to devs, designers and teams (chatting with NEARHacks NYC team for support/connections to devs)
Have a demo day in the last day
Depending on partners/sponsors have a prize at the end
Everything will be live-streamed and available as content for NEAR and @astrodao to use
How fast do you think we could get
a grant approved?
We’re connected to university clubs in Canada in SFU, Emily Carr and UBC (blockchain club)
We got the space - middle of downtown access to shops/facilities/restaurants
We got the time
We got desks, internet, chairs, 7 rooms, and 2 big hallways (2,000 sqft)
Cost breakdown
Expenses (Venue rent, wifi/electrical utility, snacks/drinks): $4,000 in NEAR
Operations: 3 organizers and 10 volunteers ($250 per organizer, $75 per volunteer): $1500 in NEAR
Prize pool (varied - up to you): $5,000 in NEAR (transferred to the winner’s NEAR wallet after demo day and signup for wallet)
Registration bonus and press mentions: $1,000 (we got access to TikTok and YouTube influencers in our community and can publicize the event)
==> $11,500 (for a $5,000 prize pool) OR $7,500 (for a $1,000 prize pool)
