  • Funding Received: Giva Ecosystem received $1710 from Sheisnear Dao on April 20th, 2024)
  • Budget Utilization: Giva’s journey began with purchasing the domain name giva.app. We recognized the need to test the market to scale this E-commerce platform. We promptly swung into action, developing a landing page to generate leads and leverage the opportunity to grow our social media presence and awareness. Additionally, we launched Giva Academy to support and educate newcomers about the possibilities within the web3 ecosystem.

We’re currently focused on crafting compelling brand messaging, developing a robust marketing strategy, and exploring potential collaborations. Our goal is to bridge the gap between a global audience and unique fashion designers and entrepreneurs in Africa(but Nigeria specifically) By providing them with more earning opportunities, we can empower them to achieve their creative and financial goals. We will be launching the landing page with an AMA session and with selected collaboration that tallies with the brand goals on 21st June 2024)

PROBLEM STATEMENT

While major fashion houses like Gucci, Chanel, and Dior embrace new technologies like NFTs and metaverse experiences, many smaller, local brands are getting left behind. This rapid digital transformation creates a barrier for these brands, limiting their customer reach and potential for collaboration. Without a presence in the virtual space, they risk falling victim to economic disruptions as the fashion industry keeps evolving.

SOLUTION

Giva empowers Nigerian fashion brands to join the web3 revolution. It’s more like the Etsy of Nigeria but with a web3 twist. Our platform unlocks the potential of blockchain for fashion, reaching a global audience and generating new revenue streams through direct patronage from platforms, and also through NFTs and the metaverse. It’s Nigerian fashion, powered by the future.)

  • Future Goals and Objectives: (Account retention: We believe that we will have both returning customers and brands actively using the platform. Metrics should be calculated once the product is launched, but we are aiming to have 50+ active brands on the platform in the first 3 months after the beta launch.

Account acquisition: We are aiming to have 50+ new active wallets created in the 3 months after the beta- launch

Social engagement score: We will use the study cases to create a community of customers and brand owners on our social media platforms. Producing a good number of impressions and engagements.)

  • Continued Funding Needs: (We need a sum of $4000 to keep pushing the momentum:

Develop core functionalities for product listing and transactions.
Integrate with Near blockchain and payment processors.
Release the MVP
Signup 50-100 fashion brands to test the product
Gather feedback and iterate on core product features.
Build brand awareness through targeted campaigns and social media engagement.
Partner with Sheisnear Dao, other relevant communities, and influencers to develop educational content, AMAs, etc about web3, inclusivity, and scalability of e-commerce businesses.

Phase 2:

Release a limited version of the platform to a limited number of users. (beta launch)
