One of the mandate of this guild is to shed light onto different aspects of life and to bring more coverage to certain areas of the world.
I present a thoughtful project where people would showcase different underdeveloped areas in their environment and express its story through photography.
This project will be in the following steps:
A professionally developed photograph of a ghetto/underdeveloped area.
Name of the location/area.
A short story about the location and picture taken.
Possible Opportunities for improvement of the area via an NGO or a relevant organization
An mid size initiative that can make a difference to the area.
Winners of the best photograph will receive the following:
First Place: $150
Second Place :$100
Third Place: $50
These photographs will be minted and 70% proceeds will go back to the NGO/initiative described in your entry that helps the community and 30% would go to the photographer/creative.
For the 70%, it will go to the DAO wallet where we will either try to onboard the NGO that would help to improve the ghetto community ( if possible) or pay them directly from the DAO and get receipt of payment and some images to show the projects they have used the funds for.
Iām still not clear on how the funds would be disbursed and feel like if there is not a certain plan in place for this it may be very difficult to fulfill. For example, would this community initiative be onboarded and given a wallet, if so who would manage that wallet? Or would the sales be sent to a near x art DAO wallet and those funds given in fiat to the organisation?
One of the requirements for the Ghetto photography will be the fact that the artist will indicate the organization/initiative where the 70% will go to.
And as such the participants will be on-boarded and given a wallet where their 30% will go to.
As for the 70%, it will go to the DAO wallet where we will either try to onboard the NGO that would help to improve the ghetto community ( if possible) or pay them directly from the DAO and get receipt of payment and some images to show the projects they have used the funds for.
These were our initial plans; however, feel free to chip in if you have further suggestions
