Brief Summary

• Wallet middleware experienced a high number of 502 errors, as the result, we optimized certain queries from 2sec to 50ms
• We surveyed DevConsole, Explorer, and Wallet for maturity as part of an operational readiness review
• Improved node startup experience by adding config options, adding multithreading, adding lazy initialization

Results

• Node Team:

  • Relocated garbage collection fork cleanup utility to a config file, to make node setup easier
  • Resolved edge case issue with head height metrics not being updated at node startup
  • Fixed mainnet mock network startup tool via thread balancing

• Infrastructure Team:

  • Increased file descriptors to fix WX testnet s3 upload errors.
  • nearcore 1.26.rc1 released to testnet

• Developer Tools:

  • near-sdk-rs 4.0.0-pre.8 released
    • Improved contract error handling (especially with promise chains)
    • added support for handling callbacks without a return value
    • VMContext moved to SDK to improve API stability
    • Removed error proned Cloning implementation for Promises
    • Added refund transfer and burn events to FT standard to maintain consistent FT data
    • Multi-architecture docker build support added
    • Moved unstable Metadata and MethodMetadata to a pseudo-private module as these are only used in macros and should not have been exported
  • workspaces-js worker API refactored as current implementation was flaky and was also not mirror workspaces-rs behavior
  • workspaces-js CI tests fixed
  • First Monthly Tooling Community Meeting Hosted

• Developer Console:

  • Form submission error fixed
  • SQL database documentation is now auto generated for internal team use
  • fonts and favicons updated

• Data Platform:

  • Added how data flows to docs
  • Added token transfer flow to docs
  • Created migrating to NEAR Lake tutorial
