Brief Summary

• EU RPC clusters were scaled out to mitigate mainnet intermittent 502 errors.
• archival nodes are no longer permitted to switch to non-archival.

Results

• Node Team:

  • Fixed betanet being stuck on the same version due to the wrong version of genesis file being created during hardfork.
  • Added an IS_ARCHIVE key that prevents users from switching their node from archival to non-archival. This will prevent invalid behavior due to leftover archival garbage in the database.
  • Product iteration process ironed out w/ Josh Quintal

• Infrastructure Team:

  • Audit of ssh-keys being used in our GCP environments complete.
  • RocksDB compression was enabled on a backup archival testnet node which reduced its size from 4TB to 1.5TB. There was, however, an issue with neard not working properly but the issue has been identified, and will be adding the fix to rc.3.

• Developer Tools:

  • Most of the DevTools team attended an offsite this past week and focused on:
    • Improving product-driven decision-making
    • Brainstorming and scoping upcoming initiatives. Specifically, the ABI (ACI/metadata) & improving project initialization
    • Aligning around a team vision to deliver intuitive, productive, and reliable tools needed for development on NEAR.

• Developer Console:

  • Updated snapshot testing images
  • Fixed a mixpanel env var configuration

• Data Platform:

  • near-lake-raw-printer-js sourcecode has been added to near-examples which accompanies the NEAR Lake Indexer basic tutorial.
  • We have identified the requirements for the account activity table that will display historical account activity for Explorer, Wallet, and DevConsole. It will feature receipts-level granularity and validator rewards.

• Explorer Team:

  • Proof-of-concept FT assets display was implemented.
    • Example of FT assets listed on an account
    • List of all FT tokens (that support FT Events)
