Priorities

  • Hiring
  • Simple examples: ACTUAL blockchain examples
  • Define the developer content audiences
  • Identify what content to write
  • EthDenver! (Deadline for prep: Feb 4th)
  • Identifying top projects
  • Redoing the grants evaluation/coordinator process for organizational speed.
  • Education: Kernal
  • Docs: onboarding easier, less-confusing, and less-convoluted
  • Developer channel management

Progress UPDATED: 25-JAN-2021

  • Started GH Issues
  • Started Forum Posts and testing the waters with wider community
  • Vadim/Dorian hiring
  • Hiring Wallet replacement
  • Started boilerplate for simple app examples, clone and go, potentially get DevEx to borrow some of this work to update create-near-app (couldn’t wait). First uses: internal to crank out simple apps (beyond guest book examples) that are clone-able and run with a couple of commands.
  • Personas to be finished on Monday
  • Content strategy done 1/22 except where roadmap context still missing
  • Grants:
  • Core Contributors: New shop being onboarded. Bounties created for them to start work.
  • EthDenver: virtual booth, events and speakers in progress.

Resourcing

  • Matt - Part time on DevRel while wallet is transitioning.
  • Mally - Part time on DevRel while marketing is transitioning.

Thoughts

  • Forums: For early incubation stuff where you want feedback.
  • Github Issues: Super specific initiatives

  • Examples for how to build apps vs. random technical examples
  • Focus on app / product side of DevRel e.g. how to launch on mainnet and make money
  • Syncing with other initiatives: education, grants, OWC / BD

Blockers

  • Time -> Intro calls with OWC / BD taking a lot of time… how can we avoid this?
  • Get some feedback on new processes -> gov forums / GH Issues

@mattlockyer @mimi0127 (is this our OWC Mimi? ) I am also trying to make the most of my time spent on OWC teams. Wondering if we could have an OWC Notion/Github (NOT AIRTABLE PLZ) kanban to track our progress with these teams?

I’ve discussed with Arto how we support Ethdenver activities, and unfortunately we don’t have much spare resources at the moment. Were you expecting something from our side to be prepared?

Thanks, @alex.shevchenko - I think we’ve got it covered, but we’re finalizing the content plan tomorrow and I’ll check back in. If there’s anything you’d like us to try to discuss with - or share with - attendees in our “booth” re bridge, we can definitely do that, and maybe we would run some high level talking points by you?
