Previous report: Report - NEAR Arabic - September 2023

After the success we achieved in attracting more than 47 new developers in September, we look forward to continuing our journey with them, where we will hold webinars and workshops for them in order to teach them about NEAR and BOS and start building.

Metrics of Evaluation

  1. Accounts Retention: Aim to retain 55% of our onboarded users after 8 weeks, maintaining interaction on the chain.
  2. Account Acquisition Cost: Target to reduce the acquisition cost to below 4.5 USDC per account through our initiatives.
  3. dApps Engagement: Ensure that at least 60% of accounts retained for over 1 week are engaging with more than one dApp in the NEAR ecosystem.
  4. Social Engagement Score: Through our various channels, target an overall 10-15% increase in the number of posts, likes, followers/views in the coming month.

To track on-chain transactions:
We can provide a table including the wallets list and number of transactions, we will collect them from the users through a form.

NEAR Arabic DAO KPIs

-Increase the number of the on-chain transactions (we hope to reach 1700 transactions, now about 1160) and increase the active users.
-Get more new developers to involve them in the NEAR ecosystem, targeting to onboard at least 2 developers to use BOS and 5-10 developers from web2 to start learning about blockchain and Near.
-Educate the users about NEAR and the projects built on it
-Onboard new users in near social
-Reach more users during the next month

Thank you for your proposal.

Your October submission does not align with our core value and KPIs Here is a link to the MarketingDAO Guidelines for October that were posted on the forum. They contain the NDC’s KPIs we are asked to focus on for allocating this month’s funds.

I’ll paste them here so it’s easier to review:

Please use the following metrics that will be used for tracking individual initiatives’ performance by Marketing (Eco) DAO. All the metrics must be attributable to the relevant project/initiative through on-chain activity and off-chain reporting, ensuring GDPR compliance and preserving privacy:

  1. Accounts retention after 1/2/4/8 weeks β€” the percentage of accounts who continue interacting on the chain over a given time period (higher is better)
  2. Account acquisition cost β€” budget divided by the number of accounts interacting through the funded initiative (lower is better)
  3. Median number of dApps used by P95 accounts retained for 1+ week (higher is better)
  4. Number of accounts retained for 1+ week using at least three dApps (higher is better)
  5. Social engagement score β€” some compound metric of the number of posts, likes, and followers/views in social media produced by the users.

Let’s take this example: Why should Marketing (Eco) DAO fund Project X?

  1. Project X should have a clear goal and target audience
  2. Project X should bring improvements to several metrics listed above

Based on the above, can you share:

  • Which of the above KPIs your initiative will use if funding is received
  • How you will track and share the results with MDAO so we can have visibility into the results?
  • What is the most important aspect of this proposal, the most crucial to fund – what will have the most impact for the community?

The reality is that MDAO has 35 pending proposals for limited funds, so it is likely we will be asking for revisions and some reductions in scope in order to fund the highest impact activities and projects as we move into mid-Q4.

Thanks!

Hello Bakaka, I have updated the proposal, please check again and let me know if you have any more questions, thank you.

Hi @MostafaLotfy thanks for the proposal and for updating with more information after questions from @Bakaka – can you answer this question?

  • What is the most important aspect of this proposal, the most crucial to fund – what will have the most impact for the community?

I would like to find a way forward to support the group, but I think we need to reduce scope. We can’t guarantee funding to every group every month in an ongoing way, and we also can’t fund every activity each group proposes.

Is there one part of this or one initiative that is getting the MOST traction from your point of view?

Hi @so608
I think all initiatives are important and complement each other
For example, it is very important to attract new users and keep current users active, this requires publishing the latest news, content creation, providing support on a daily basis, and a marketing effort.
We also have a good number of new developers, which requires additional effort to provide explanations, webinars, workshop to teach them how to build on NEAR.
And of course, all initiatives have specific goals that benefit NEAR.
Anyway, in the coming month we will consider reducing some parts as you required.
