About DeNites

In October 2021 a group of Portugal-based web3 startups created DeNites, the unofficial afterparties for ETHLisbon, Nearcon, WebSummit t to showcase local projects. DeNites are community-led events to connect with local web3 projects and people in the most entertaining way possible. Our mission is to make everyone feel welcome in web3, by promoting real and meaningful connections. We do it through IRL events where both newbies and experts have an opportunity to meet and bond. Here we came to ask NEAR support of our next event.

What Events we propose

All events are free to attend and have an educational and an entertainment component.
On the first season of DeNites, we’ve had 10 events, on 3 different cities and reached 2000+ people.

During the Lisbon Web3 events season, DeNites DAO will promote a 1-week long co-work space, with learning moments and happy hours. We also plan to have a DeNites party on the 3rd of November.

I. DeNites week Cowork (Oct 31st - Nov 4th)

    • Learning moments - 10 workshops

    • Networking moments at the end of the day

    • Branding in all graphic materials produced for the DeNites Cowork.

II. DeNites Mega Party

  • Where: Hub Creativo Beato

  • Nov 3rd, 9pm-2am

  • 500+ people

  • Branding on all comms assets at the venue and posters in the WebSummit and ETHLisbon areas).

  • Branding merch, space and co-working space

  • all the announcements will be posted with mention of partnership with NEAR Protocol in community of

– Talent Protocol (9500 followers);

– DeNites (500 followers).

Hi @pcbo – thanks for the proposal. Can you provide a breakdown of costs to explain why the funding amount is what it is?

We also need an understanding of the metrics and outcomes you’ll be using when you report back about the project, should it be funded. We typically prefer metrics that demonstrate a direct connection to growth in the NEAR ecosystem. Can you outline how this project will lead to new active NEAR wallet users, new devs or projects in the ecosystem, new active users of existing projects, etc?

adding detailed budget here :

Budget Description Cost
Venue payment for rent the place, furniture, rental of projection equipment, security personnel, all days $2000 USD
Coffee break food and drinks for 50+ people for 4 days $1500 USD
Workshop’s instructors payment to the instructors for guidance workshops on NEAR with Javascript (10 people * 100 USD) 1000 USD
Media coverage graphic design, print advertising, digital advertising and dissemination on social networks 500 USD
Total amount 5000 USD

As far as metrics and outcomes concerned, we plan to:

  • open NEAR wallets for all the participants of the event, minimum 50 wallets
  • onboard at least 10 devs (developing on Rust) with their projects and their users
  • minimum 200 active users will be onboarded to the Ecosystem, because we’ll have the next event and then again - we’ll collect the list of participants and their contacts to invite them and will use POAP NFT for their coming back and use their wallets

Hi.
How will the training take place and what materials will be used? What will your job be? Will you only be the organizer of this event? If a hackathon is held in Lisbon, can your startups be sent there?
