The BEAT DAO monthly competition kicked off mid December as planned. Community members who were music producers transitioning from the NxM guild got sensitized and also there was social media awareness through the BEAT DAO online social machinery. The competition received 7 entries as listed below

The winners of the beat competition were announced on the 21st December after they were chosen by the Beat DAO council comprising @JohnX , @Paul and @vandal
For the reward of the winners, i had to make the payout proposal to the AstroDAO myself since we had community members who are new in the ecosystem trying to familiarize themselves with the user interfaces. A payout proposal guide for the community is in the works so as to enable community members make these payout proposals to the DAO by themselves subsequently. The rewards were disbursed according to ranking in the winning order

The beat competition rewards were slashed slightly from the proposed reward value due to volatility and price action of the NEAR token at the time of disburse which is vividly explained here
