September marked the beginning of this season of Strictly Ballein, and the activation of the DJ DAO.
The event is hosted Live at The Playground, Cryptovoxels.
As the first event running under the DJ DAO, we seek to onboard more DJs to the community and the NEAR network via this event and have been doing so actively as our rosters have been fully scheduled until December. Each performer of the monthly roster is provided a near name and an entry point to participating in, and building the community. In addition to functioning as an onboarding platform, it also stands as a benchmark for future event-based ideas and efforts by the DAO.
For October, our aim is to step up the production quality of the streams, as well as reimagine the visual marketing direction for the events. Working hand-in-hand with the newly appointed social media manager of NxM, we seek to increase visibility of the event as well.

October Budget proposal:
This is a proposal to cover the events for each Wednesday of October 2021. Below are the costs associated with the event and some of the activations we plan to include.
- 1 Headliner 60 minute DJ set @ $100 (x4) = $400
- Opening Live Streamed DJ set by Netuno 30min $50 (x4) = $200
- Venue rental & set up @ $25 N (x4) = $100
- 5 marketing posters designed ahead of the month = $150
- Livestream broadcasting & facilitation @ $25 N (x4) = $100
- Event planning and management @ $25 N (2 hours per month) = $50
- Near name gifting fund 1N = $7.43
Total Request: $1000 + 1N (at $7.43/N)
