@AndreiaMartinBR - Serial entrepreneur, graduated from the Founder Institute. Founded Usphera Web3, a company specializing in strategy, value creation, and opportunities to onboard companies into Web3.
@jcsta - NFT specialist, working, studying, and investing in NFTs since 2021. Founded ViaNFT creating educational content about NFTs and Digital Assets. Helped found Near and Aurora Brazil. Near OG.
Max: President of the Rio Grande do Sul Book Chamber and owner of one of the largest publishing houses in the south of Brazil.
Section 4. About the Application
Main Objective: Deploy the project on Near for the purchase and sale of books in NFT format, introducing a secondary market, bringing authors and readers closer, and combating piracy.
How It Works:
Our platform allows publishers and authors to launch their books/ebooks as NFTs, generating engagement with the community and encouraging more transactions on the Near network.
Furthermore, throughout the year, we will seek partnerships with regional communities around the world, from Portuguese-speaking regions, to launch works by authors from those areas.
Initially, we partnered and launched the first tests using a whitelabel EVM platform. Now, we want to bring it to Near.
Our strategy is to partner with publishers because they already have many authors, thereby reducing acquisition costs.
Advantages:
- Creation of a secondary market for digital books.
- Closer connection between authors and readers.
- Transparency and new behaviors encouraged by tokenization.
- Acquisition strategy focused on publishers to reduce costs.
Market Traction: Growth of 28% from 2021 to 2022, with significant expansion potential considering the low penetration of digital books in Brazil compared to other markets.
Digital books account for only 6% of the total in the country and more than 30% in the USA, showing the high growth potential.
Budget and Timeline:
So far, what we have achieved:
- Creation of our proof of concept in Aug/2023 - We set the goals and identified potential partners.
- In September, we selected two platforms, one for an author with a book, and another for a publisher with two books for our MVP.
- In October, we launched 3 NFT books at the Porto Alegre Book Fair (1.3 mi visitors)
- Today, we are validating the model and seeking to expand the market.
