Hi everyone,

We have been representing NEAR to Türkiye since March 2021 and are active on Telegram, Medium, Twitter, Youtube and currently developing projects on NEAR together with our developers.

I’ve been following the Marketing DAO September key performance indicators (KPIs) [Announcement] Marketing DAO constellation September Review Schedule & KPIs and set our goals accordingly.

Our main focus is to increase active developers and onboard new users to Near Social / Near BOS and increase the number of users and transactions on NEAR.

Below I will outline what our activities are and how we as NEAR Türkiye will achieve the key performance indicators.

Onboarding
new users to NEAR Social and NEAR BOS.
How will we onboard them:
We will reach out to new users by sharing daily content in all our social media accounts, get in touch with different crypto communities and create widgets on NEAR BOS together with our community.

    • Small giveaways and promotions to increase the engagement (quiz, activity contest, Follow Near Social)
    • be active in different crypto community groups and talk about NEAR

    • share daily latest news and updates about NEAR in turkish language.
    • work with Hashtags and Markables to increase the engagement

  • Medium: Near Turkey – Medium
    • We will translate and write 6 articles per month in turkish language and share in our Medium account
      • Topic: Near Horizon, Near BOS, Featured Stories, Web3.0 and Social, Defi, Nearweek

How will we count the number of new users:
On Near Social we can see the new users .near addresses, currently we have 180 followers. Furthermore we will create an excel list with all new .near addresses and members who joined the NEAR BOS.

Increase Transactions on NEAR
How will we increase the number of usage and transactions on NEAR:
We will follow dapps listed on DappRadar and invite the community to use the dapp on NEAR. Every day we will share a new Dapp on NEAR with the community and organize mini contests to increase the activity. Since we also have a Aurora community, we will share all Dapps there too and invite the community to use them.
How will we track transactions?
We will try to get all users .near addresses, most of them we have already since they have registered to IamHuman and following us on NEAR Social. We can track all users activities on-chain and write it down to an excel list.

Increase developers and build projects on NEAR
We are currently working on our project GPTVerse.
GPTVerse is an innovative and immersive metaverse powered by artificial intelligence (AI) technology. With a strong focus on AI applications, revolutionizes the way users engage, learn, and transact within a virtual ecosystem.
GPTVerse is a multichain project but initial contract will be on Near Protocol. It will have both a Web GL App version and a Metaverse App version for products. We’re currently offering three MVP ready tools & apps. 1 of them is on live(prod) and several products more to come. The project is listed on Near Horizon and we are in touch with the NF to talk about how they can support us. We are going to add the NEAR Blockchain to the platform - which means:
The community:

  • can join the Shopyverse and buy goods on-chain (NFTs) ( which increases the transactions on NEAR)
  • can hold online events in the EventVerse, eg. Blockchain academies, NEAR BOS online courses / how to create widgets etc…
  • can learn about NEAR in the EducationVerse
  • can use AI to learn new foreign languages

By holding mini workshops in our office, creating widgets on NEAR (eg. a quiz widget - https://near.org/nearinturkiye.near/widget/quizTurkiye), being active in developer community groups and in all social media channels, we are aiming to reach out to new devs and invite them to NEAR.

Costs

On-chain onboarding: 500$
On-chain engagement: 300$
On-chain participation in ecosystem dApps: 300$

Educational content NDC governance / NEAR BOS: 400$

5 widgets is too much, is it not better to focus on one reusable that your community can make use of?

Sure, we have new developers on the team who have joined NEAR and will focus on connecting the GPTVerse project with NEAR, which I explained here

All of this requires developer costs, usually it is much more since we are planning to work with 2 Unity Developers, 2 professional 3d Artist, , 1 frontend developer, 1 backend developer, 1 blockchain contract developer, 1 Project Owner, but we know the current budget and will start small.
To invite more developers, we also need to talk to students and invite them to NEAR. We also have a blockchain development teacher on the team. Depending on the time spent, the breakdown looks like this:
$600 for connecting the project to the NEAR blockchain - backend and contract dev
$450 for the 3D artists - NEAR design in the Metaverse - frontend dev
$400 will be used to attract more developers from universities, increase engagement, host mini-workshops/AMAs, and explain the benefits of building on NEAR BOS.

Since we want to invite more developers, I thought about having them create widgets to learn more about the NEAR BOS. We can change it to:
1 usable widget for the community, 3 mini widgets from the students / new devs.

Hi @cizi31 thanks for the proposal and responses to questions/feedback and also reduction in funding amount. I agree with @Bakaka that what we are hoping to see from teams right now is creation of one widget first, show performance/engagement/use and then we can potentially fund more. We are getting a lot of widget building requests, and this has been my recommendation/response across the board.

You guys are ongoing active, engaged, positive contributors to the ecosystem. Appreciate the good work. Happy to support this for a month.

Hi @cizi31 You have received majority council support for this proposal. Moving to approved.

Next steps:

Your application was approved by Marketing (Ecosystem) DAO at NDC. The approved proposal will be included in the next MDAO budget request to NDC trust. The trust needs to authorize it first and then transfer funds to Marketing DAO treasury: the expected payment date is the last week of September.

So, during this time, please do the following:

  1. Fill out the form to pass KYC

  2. Wait for future instruction from Marketing (Ecosystem) DAO and an invitation to create a transfer on Astro DAO.

  3. Please join NDC Marketing HUB to discuss this and future projects.

  4. Refer to the Marketing DAO Funding Guide as needed.
