TICTalk 101
Technology Innovation & Creativity Talk (TICTalk): Raising Awareness of Technology in Southeast Asia
Last August 21st, NEAR and Octopus Network hosted a milestone event: TicTalk101; Raising awareness of technology, innovation, and creativity.
Filipinos from different places gathered in Manila to discuss the imminence of blockchain technology in the Philippines. Such comprehensive topics as GameFi, crypto regulation, community building, NFT, and multichain were expounded.
Networking opportunities took place. Online connections were reinforced by offline interactions. Business connections were forged. This milestone is paving the way for NEAR Protocol and Octopus Network to take root in the soil of this archipelago!
As to how else NEAR and Octopus Network are going to take further root, time will tell. But for now, these projects (NEAR and Octopus) are already in the minds of Filipinos, not just in the Philippines but also of those Filipinos living abroad.
Raising Awareness of Technology in Southeast Asia
- Date: August 21, 2022, 6 pm-10 pm at Empty Stomach Cafe & Lounge Bar Manila Philippines
- The event aimed to encourage people to join and learn everything about technology, especially in the crypto space. We invited 6 local crypto influencers and their communities to join and witness the education of NEAR Protocol, Octopus Network, etc.
- The event was open to all blockchain enthusiasts

NEAR Protocol Promotional Post on BitPinas
Bitpinas, one of the famous crypto news outlets in the Philippines, has constantly shown its support for NEAR Protocol and NEAR Philippines. We are contacting their featured writer to write a promotional article for us, NEAR Protocol, and NEAR Philippines. We are currently compiling it, sending it to them, and hopefully, it will be published this month. We believe that this is a great initiative to widen the influence and awareness of the NEAR Protocol and our community to non-NEAR users.

To achieve further growth in our community and to actively perform events, giveaways, and other activities, here are the deliverables that we will perform every month along with its budget and detailed description.

Videos are essential in attracting audiences in the online world. Since only a percentage of Filipinos are familiar with the blockchain, one of our ways to educate and encourage learning is by producing informative videos and events about the NEAR Protocol Blockchain.

We want to highlight the up-and-coming projects on NEAR so that’s why we reach out to them, interview what their project is about, and promote them on all our channels. Live Interviews with Project Founders/Artists ~ 300 USD
We personally reach out to these project founders/artists and we invite them for an exclusive interview to talk about their upcoming projects. Doing this, we do not only benefit from it but also the said project as well because we upload this video on our Youtube Channel, we make infographics about them and we promote the interview and their project across our social handles.
We believe that getting to know the people behind the projects will make their audience and future users feel at ease, they will also gauge whether the project is worth trying.

Featured Articles and Translations~ 100 USD
We create featured articles where we share important tips and insights with our readers, especially those people who are into reading. From the interviews that we conduct to these transcriptions. We aim to properly convey to our readers and followers everything about these said projects. Some might understand something just by watching and listening, others might not. Some are visualizers, others are readers. We convert our founder interviews to written ones so that those readers who don’t want to watch everything can just scan and read through the whole article.

Value: Decentralization warrants inclusion. When people feel included, they may be more inclined to commit their resources, especially talents, to an institution within which people feel welcomed. In view of this, when non-English folks see that NEAR is including their mother tongue, that is good PR for NEAR.
Impact: Many of us in the NEAR ecosystem can attest to this fact: while English is the language of our minds, our mother tongue is the language of our hearts. Our mother tongue strikes a different chord in us. It’s visceral. One of our team members agrees with this. While this member is very proficient in English, this member started to well up in tears after this member started to hear a multimedia translation into their member’s mother tongue.

Value: NEAR is benefiting from the talents NEAR PH has. The infographics ninja in our team has been honing his skill over the last year so as to capture the message and translate that into a visually oriented mode. While NEAR is allowing us to hone our skills in this department, NEAR would be able to hire our talents for infographics whenever NEAR needs it.
- Impact: Not all information is created equal. Some are best conveyed in written words; others are better off in a diagram. Moreover, infographics can capture the essence of a concept. They can also provide alternative perspectives with which to appreciate a notion or a seemingly-esoteric concept.

We have tested an event ad on our FB Page and the impression, reach, engagement, and followers it got were better than our usual. We only availed the cheapest offer. So, we decided to boost posts that are only urgent such as our Events/Announcement/Collaborations.
We plan to boost posts that are only necessary such as events, contests, announcements, collaborations, etc. We want to see if the impact and influence it will give to people will boost NEAR.
