[REPORT] APRIL Monthly Report- NEAR Health Guild

Presenting Near Health 05/2022 activities according to our roadmap:

Item 1: Organizing online events:

-We are invited to speak in a Texas based Project’s Webinar, the KTR capital webinar organized by CEO, Adrian Cravioto MD. MSc on blockchain tech applications and Defi in healthcare, KTR capital owns the Healthcare Money Asset on ETH, we are getting them to Near.

-we are going to co-host a webinar on zoom in collaboration with the African Medical Students Association(FAMSA), this is more like a lecture where we’ll teach students and doctors with visual zoom presentation the concept of blockchain and Near protocol and how it can be applied in the healthcare sector

Audience for the webinars
First webinar, the audience would be doctors ,health professionals and health entrepreneurs invited by the oncologist, Dr Adrian, we are also just invited to speak.

For the second webinar with FAMSA, the audience are medical students, paramedics and few doctors, I personally have been at those webinars several times, I well know the audience and its always a massive tune in.

We will have no problem getting attendees to the webinars as it’s collaborative, we’ll just announce it so that our current community members could also attend, but the bodies we are collaborating with will do the most outreach for audience, like FAMSA is a huge students’ body, they have their verified twitter account and several social media accounts, they have their PRO unit that take care of such things

These webinars will be important,
for KTR capital, we are attending their webinar as a separate entity from Near protocol,
while for the Federation of Africal Medical Students Association(FAMSA), we are organizing the webinar in collaboration with the body so it will be a more educational and we will get maximum attendance.
We are inviting one of our advisors(advisors details on our intro post), Dr Olorukooba , a consultant Public Health physician, MBBS, MSC, MNPMG, FWACP, PHIFP, with a PhD in health informatics, He recently founded CODEMEDIx which is a US based not for profit organization for training medical students and doctors on Coding, Advanced Computer Applications, Informatics research, Data science and Artificial Intelligence with the Vision of making every doctor learn how to code and use computer applications to improve public health and healthcare delivery in the world. Also Cofounded AnywhereMedic which is a UK based PMR system which uses Artificial intelligence and blockchain technology for clinical decision support and preservation of records for patients.
then two speakers from Near health, and we’ll also get someone from Near foundation or the education team to speak during the webinar as it’s institutional and for education.

Item 2: collaborating with guilds:

• we’ll collaborate with Cyperphunk guild to discuss on twitter space about privacy based projects on Near and how we can leverage them in the healthcare sector

-We will collaborate with Near Australia and Near Canada to run our first public good project, details below

Item 3: exploring and working with Near projects:

I received a message on telegram from a guy saying whose friend is building a dApp that aims to create authentication from manufacturers of drugs to maintain transparency of original drugs which they have a prototype on ETH and now wants to integrate it to NEAR, we want to publish and make more videos on how to leverage Near’s infrastructure for healthcare applications, those are easy to find than checking our group messages or listening session recordings.

We will publish articles and make educational videos(reaching out to some project teams to appear in the video and explain more) about the following projects and what they can do to the healthcare sector
-Flux protocol
-Calimero network
-Octopus Network
-Astro DAO
-Aurora + Rainbow Bridge

Item 4: Launching our first public good project
Based on review, this cannot be funded

Item 5: NEAR Health NFT art collection, we did this already in April, it’s on paras.

Item 6: Participating in healthcare industry events to talk about Near and blockchain, we’ll do this as much as we can, we will request, show interest to participate

This quote above makes us realized that we need to do things in this field, it’s said that eventually every future health worker must learn how to program because computers
are taking away the luxurious jobs, and we start right with Near protocol that has the best learning tools and programs.

Success Metrics will be the number of people we reached, number of people we introduce to Near, health related projects that wants to build on Near, the growth and participation in our community etc.

We will keep record of the number of people we reached and those that actively participate, wallets we create, people we onboard to near university, the growth of our community and social accounts, article and video views, people interested in health web3 startup in our community etc.

Impacts and value to the Near ecosystem
-Taking NEAR and NEAR NFTs to the masses and hospitals
-Reaching thousands of people with our activities and promoting Near in good fate
-wallets creation
-Paving the way for building health projects on Near
-Education

First webinar: no funding

Second webinar: $500, since we are reaching hundreds of students, we will like to open wallets and send some tokens to boost attendance

-$500 for five educational videos

Thanks for your proposal. I think what you are doing is a worthy cause. I think this proposal needs some additional detail in order for the MarketingDAO to review it adequately.

For example, can you provide additional information and/or update proposal about the following:

• Who are the audiences you are hosting webinars for?
• How are you doing outreach to get attendees to these webinars?
• Do you have any URLs, web site, social media accounts you can share that are related to these activities?
• Are the two links at the top to the organizations you are hosting the webinars for? Which organization is in collaboration with FAMSA?
• Where will you publish articles and the educational content mentioned in the proposal? Links to those places?
• Who is creating the NFTs for cancer support?
• Once printed and framed, where do they go? Who receives these?
• You mention running a campaign in Nigeria. Where? How? For how long? What will the campaign do?
• How are you tracking metrics you outlined?

Once printed and framed, we will gift the NFTs to the children(patient) through their parents, they can decide to take them home or leave them in the hospital rooms for more patients in the future, or give their oncologist.

The summary of this Malaria vaccine campaign.
Q. 1, WHERE? KANO STATE, most populous state in Nigeria
Q. 2, HOW? A formal invitation will be made to the head of health care officer for a local government constituency, District Head and the director of primary health care to request for approval.
Q. 3, HOW LONG? One week period.
Q. 4, PURPOSE OF THE CAMPAIGN.
The goal of this campaign is to make people conscious of the impact of Malaria Vaccine and to provide them with information about the vaccine on how it works.

• To increase awareness of health threats of Malaria especially to pregnant women and to move the target audience to action in supporting Malaria Vaccine
• This campaign will encourage the target audience to engage in healthy behaviour to provide resistance to serious health threats.
  During the campaign we’ll do our promotion of Near and near health.

Making this campaign live longer and to make NEAR reach more people for mass adoption, we’ll print inforgraphs in form of posters and paste them on the hospital walls of the two bigget Teaching Hospitals in Nigeria.
On these innfographics , we’ll write things about Near and have Near logo, website etc

Thanks for answering the questions and providing additional information. I respect what you’re aiming to do, but I don’t think every element of this proposal is fundable by the MarketingDAO.

I can support funding for:

• The webinars
• Medium articles
• Educational videos

I can’t support funding for the Malaria campaign or the NFT project. A couple of reasons why:

• The Malaria campaign is a worthy cause, but it is not specifically related to raising awareness around blockchain. I understand you want to incorporate NEAR branding and logos, but that’s not enough of a direct connection for me. I think your webinars, articles and videos are better uses of community funding.

• We cannot support any project involving children or youth as per NEAR restrictions around funding and children.

I am curious what other members of the MarketingDAO think about the proposal and will wait to hear other perspectives. Thanks!

I will wait few days to hear the opinions of the rest of the members, if it’s favorable then fine, if it’s not ,we can proceed to funding the webinars, articles and videos only, in that case i’ll then remove that part that cannot be funded and settle the amount.

Hello @marketingdao-council, based on my findings and also as reviewed by @so608, some aspect of this proposal cannot be funded, so I’ll be removing those part from the proposal, settle the amount and change a bit of the proposal title, as for the elements of the proposal(webinars and educational contents) supported by @so608, can we please get those approved so we can get to work as the month is 1/3 gone already.
