Announcement: Creatives DAO November Funding Round

Announcement: Creatives DAO November Funding Round

Dear Creatives,

As we navigate the transition phase, the Creatives DAO is announcing the opening of submissions for November’s proposals. It’s imperative that all proposals align with the fundamental principles upheld by the Near Digital Collective, particularly focusing on the following Core Values and Key Metrics:

Core Values

● Empowering ecosystem
(for people by people)

● Respected by ecosystem
(fair, accountable, transparent, and reliable)

● Dedicated to ideas of decentralisation
(antifragile, scalable, with collective decision making)

● Efficient operation
(don’t be a burden, instead help the community to be more efficient)

● Continuous improvement via weekly iterations
(plan ahead, measure results, and adjust continuously)

Key Metrics for Evaluation

  1. Accounts retention after 1/2/4/8 weeks — the percentage of accounts who continue interacting on chain over a given time period (higher is better)

  2. Account acquisition cost — budget divided by the number of accounts interacting through the funded initiative (lower is better)

  3. Median number of dApps used by P95 accounts retained for 1+ week (higher is better)

  4. Number of accounts retained for 1+ week using at least 3 dApps (higher is better)

  5. Social engagement score — some compound metric of number

As suggested by NDC V1 priorities, a project should be funded if:

  1. Project X should have a clear goal and target audience
  2. Project X should bring improvements to several metrics listed above

November’s Funding Procedure:

  • November 10-15th: Proposal submission by the Community.
  • By November 15th: Review and approval process by the Creatives DAO councils, followed by governance forum posts and request creation for NDC (HOM, CoA, NDC trust).
  • November 15th-20th: Review by HOM members and on-chain voting.
  • November 20th: If approved by HOM, the request proceeds to CoA for on-chain voting.
  • November 20th-26th: Review and voting by CoA.
  • Following CoA approval: Trustees will execute transactions aligned with the Trust’s objectives, pending adherence to expenses.
  • KYC Note: New applicants will be subject to KYC ([Guide] Creatives Constellation Funding Guidelines).

Disclaimer: Some timelines might be subject to change due to the v0-v1 transition period. The final result of a proposal is only determined after CoA’s voting (not after reviewing by Creatives DAO councils).
