The NEAR Fellowship guild is the guild for NEAR Fellows in Residence through the NEAR Fellowship program. This announcement post will be a necessary step towards decentralization and DAO governance. This will allow us to form a DAO, a DAO council, and ask for funding assistance (as needed) to pay for costs not covered through the Fellowship program like web hosting, website development, plugins, WordPress backups, shared email hosting and other costs not covered by our fellows.

Mission and Vision
The NEAR Fellowship program is a new initiative by https://near.university. NEAR Education Fellowship Programs are designed to engage entrepreneurs, engineers, writers and researchers as well as teachers, designers and more in growing their contribution to the NEAR ecosystem as quickly as possible.
This guild serves to strengthen the bonds between NEAR fellows and provides a landing spot for people who wish to engage with our fellows - ecosystem contributors, other guilds, external vendors, customers and end-users of products and dapps built by our fellows and more.
This guild is also a necessary step towards true decentralization and proper governance following the NEAR Protocol ethos and ecosystem via a DAO and DAO council in order to create a Tier 1 guild.
Who is the guild intended for?
The guild serves primarily as a community for members of the NEAR Fellowship.

What do we need from our fellow fellows?
One aspect of nearfellows.org will be to showcase the work and backgrounds of all our NEAR fellows, so we would love to connect with each fellow to get information for the site, so we can showcase each other and collaborate.
What do fellows get out of this?
As a fellow, you will receive exposure for your projects for hiring and funding as well as a great place to connect with other NEAR fellows in residence. Showcase your work, build your personal brand, and participate more fully in the NEAR ecosystem.
Can I join this guild?
Any NEAR Fellow in residence can join this guild. We are actively looking for participants to grow the community like website designers and builders, community managers, social media managers and more. Please reach out on Discord to contribute! You can ping us in the chats or reach Mayur or Charlie directly, or anyone with the role “NF Builders” in Discord.
