Hey all, Happy Friday and hope you had a great week! Ending the week with another overview of what’s happening in the NEAR Ecosystem, what’s being built on NEAR, community events, and any other interesting things around the community/ecosystem! This update has a focus on Web3 gaming built on NEAR. Web3 & Blockchain tech facilitates a huge shift in the gaming industry to a decentralized, player-driven economy where gamers not only play but earn, truly own digital assets via NFTs, and participate in governance, redefining engagement and retention. In other words, Gaming has a very high potential to spearhead the adoption of Web3.
Project updates/spotlights:
- Time Breachers Alpha version 2 is around the corner, and will be available on mobile or desktop! The mobile app has been approved by both Google PlayStore and Apple’s App Store! The team are just putting the final touches on it before hitting the launch button. Make sure to follow and keep your eyes peeled for the official release date.
- Playible is building an NFT fantasy sports platform on NEAR, and they have been making some great progress on the platform with some exciting initiatives in the pipeline. Not long left to hop into their fantasy baseball contest, and there’s also some great prizes up for grabs! Oh, and don’t forget to claim your FREE baseball packs as well
- Web3Mon is an NFT Multiverse Game built on NEAR in which you can play with your own NFTs from various collections. They have been dedicated to building the game out and rolling out content. They are running a tournament hosted by Boneyard Gaming very soon, with some sweet prizes up for grabs!
- ARterra’s Battle Pass system, running on the NEAR blockchain, incentivises fan engagement through a tiered reward structure. This not only bolsters user loyalty but also can drive NFT liquidity within the NEAR ecosystem!
- Galxe, the leading platform for building a web3 community - multichain. With over 10 million unique users to date, is launching a component on BOS! Space ID launched SPACE ID Voyage Season 2 in March 2023 and this campaign will now be extended to BOS. Users will be able to register a new .bnb name through Space ID and then claim a Voyage box.
- Music Feast, a decentralized label & NFT marketplace built by EveryoneEatsEntertainment on NEAR, aims to link the traditional music industry while collaborating with top talent and simplifying purchase processes with features like fiat on-ramping and auto-generated non-custodial wallets. The platform currently collaborates with 8 artists, with more joining soon. The main artist drop features DJWhooKid and Ashlee Bankz, and a couple more have also dropped recently. Between DJWhooKid and ClassiQ, Music Feast has potential outreach to an estimated 1.3 million fans.

- Laura Cunningham from the NEAR Horizon team had a great Twitter Spaces with the Encode team on NEARProtocol Twitter unpacking NEAR Horizon x Encode Partnership & NEAR Educate Series.
- NEAR Korea DAO is hosting a NEAR community meetup on June 10 where you can learn about FastAuth & BOS with hands-on sessions, networking, and a chance to win $400 in prizes!
- Don’t miss Banyan’s NYC Demo Day on June 15th in collaboration with Mastercard Start Path and NEAR Horizon to bring together top ecosystem projects!
