Symphonear - Innovating the Streaming Industry

Dear community,

We are pleased to officially announce Symphonear, a revolutionary streaming platform that is poised to change the way we experience music online. Symphonear is much more than a conventional music platform; it is a new era where users and artists benefit from a decentralized music experience.

About Symphonear

Symphonear stands out as a streaming platform that allows users to enjoy music from artists in a decentralized manner. What makes Symphonear unique is its commitment to equity and financial transparency for artists. In Symphonear, artists retain the vast majority of their earnings, thus opening up new opportunities for the artistic community.

Innovation in Resource Management

  • Pay-per-Use: The daily usage cost will be deducted from the user’s balance, allowing them to have full control over their expenses. This means they only pay for the days they actively enjoy the application.

  • Monthly Benefits for Artists: Artists will receive their benefits calculated on the 15th and 30th of each month. This automation gives artists the freedom to enjoy their earnings whenever they wish, providing them with greater financial control.

Practical Example

To provide clarity on how it works, here’s an example:

Let’s assume the monthly cost for using the application is USD $10. The user can recharge the equivalent in NEAR, with a minimum of USD $2.50 or one week. If during the week the user uses the application for 3 out of 7 days, they will only be charged for the days of usage, exempt from payments on days when they do not use the application’s services.

Symphonear is more than a music platform; it is a community that values music, equity, and financial transparency. We are excited about the journey ahead and grateful for your support.

Strengthening the Music Industry with Symphonear on NEAR

We are pleased to share more details about Symphonear and how we are working to transform the music industry. Symphonear is not just a music platform; it is a movement that seeks to support the adoption of NEAR as the most suitable blockchain for this application. Here’s a deeper look at our vision and objectives:

Supporting NEAR as the Preferred Option

Symphonear is built on a solid foundation that compares favorably with leading applications. We aim to demonstrate that NEAR is the ideal choice for Symphonear by offering our users and artists an experience that rivals the best apps in the industry.

Decentralization with NFTs and Innovative Business Model

We are using non-fungible token (NFT) technology to decentralize streaming services and support artists with a fairer and more profitable business model. We break down the barriers to entry into the music industry, providing a welcoming space for both established artists and new talents.

Pay for What You Use

We want to change the way music services are paid for. In Symphonear, you only pay for what you use. If one day you decide not to listen to music, you don’t have to pay for it. We eliminate the barriers imposed by traditional streaming services, where users pay even on days when they don’t use the application.

Target Audience and Addressed Needs

Target Audience:

  • Emerging artists, musicians, and music lovers.

Addressed Needs:

  • Challenge of Entry into the Music Industry: Platforms like Spotify and Deezer impose significant barriers for users, resulting in a lucrative business model for the platform but with challenges for emerging artists to generate consistent income.

  • Decentralization and Support for Artists: By using NFTs, Symphonear decentralizes streaming services, providing a more equitable business model that directly benefits artists.

Symphonear is a call to all music lovers and artists to join a platform that values equity, decentralization, and financial freedom.

Interaction History with the NEAR Foundation

During the period from October to November 2022, Symphonear initiated conversations with the NEAR Foundation regarding its grant application. Despite receiving favorable praise from the person designated by the NEAR Foundation, the responses and the current status of the application have not been clear, in fact, Symphonear stopped receiving a response altogether.

Despite having submitted the grant application months ago, no conclusive response has been received since November 2022. Symphonear reiterates its ongoing commitment to the project and its willingness to provide additional information as necessary.

Symphonear looks forward to receiving an update on the status of the grant application and is open to providing any additional details that may facilitate the process. In the meantime, the initiative continues to move forward, exploring opportunities and solidifying itself as a positive force in the NEAR ecosystem.

We appreciate the attention and praise previously given and look forward to a prompt resolution.

Interaction with Mintbase and Project Progress

In April 2023, Symphonear submitted a grant application to Mintbase. After a prolonged wait, we received a response in November 2023. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, we were unable to review the response until early 2024. We immediately contacted Mintbase and confirmed that we still had the opportunity to be considered for Cohort 2 of their grants.

During our call with Mintbase after this confirmation, we discussed in detail our project and its suitability for Cohort 2. Although we are not sure whether the project was liked or not, we would like to address some concerns raised during the conversation.

In particular, Mintbase expressed doubts about the existence of a community of music artists on NEAR. We would like to emphasize that we are firmly convinced of the presence and growth potential of this community on the NEAR network. Furthermore, Mintbase mentioned that they did not consider there to be a community of users listening to music on NEAR, despite evidence of the large number of musical NFTs sold on their platform. However, we recognize the importance of continuing to foster and expand these communities to ensure the continued success of Symphonear and the NEAR ecosystem as a whole.

We appreciate Mintbase for the opportunity to call to discuss their grants and look forward to addressing any further concerns they may have. We remain committed to the success of Symphonear and hope to collaborate with Mintbase in the future.

MVP Request and Continuous Development of SymphoNEAR

During our recent call with Mintbase, the suggestion was made to create an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) as part of the evaluation process for Cohort 2 of their grants. We understand the importance of MVPs in the early stages of projects; however, we want to share some crucial considerations.

At this time, SymphoNEAR is in a phase where we have managed to develop and demonstrate initial functionality, as presented in the following video: SymphoNEAR Video. While this video demonstrates the beginning of SymphoNEAR, we want to reiterate that we clearly understand what is presented in the video and are aware of areas that still need development and improvement.

Given the ambitious and expansive nature of SymphoNEAR, we firmly believe in the project’s vision and understand that full development will require a significant investment of time and resources. Currently, we have created enough code to understand the fundamental principles of SymphoNEAR, but we recognize that there are many features, functions, and additional improvements that have not yet been implemented.

In summary, while we share this video to illustrate the current state of the project, we want to emphasize that we are committed to bringing SymphoNEAR to its full potential. However, to achieve this, we need financial support to continue developing, refining, and launching the project comprehensively.

We appreciate being considered and given the opportunity to be considered for Cohort 2 of Mintbase’s grants, as we believe that grants are partly to support the development of the project, and we hope to discuss more about how we can effectively move forward in this exciting initiative.

Collaboration and Funding Opportunities

At Symphonear, we value collaboration and are open to working with anyone, organization, or entity that can support our vision and mission in the NEAR ecosystem. If you represent an entity that offers grants or funding in this area, we would love to explore possible collaboration opportunities.

We are committed to driving the musical revolution on NEAR and believe that collaboration with other projects, organizations, and funders is crucial to achieving our shared goals. Without the support of collaborators like you, the Symphonear project would face an uncertain future, and, more worryingly, we are confident that we would lose a valuable initiative that has the potential to transform how we interact with music in web3, and in the NEAR ecosystem.

We strive to build a vibrant and sustainable ecosystem where artists and users can thrive, and we believe that working together is key to achieving this. We look forward to establishing new partnerships and collaborations that drive the success of Symphonear and contribute to the continued growth of the NEAR ecosystem.

We are excited to explore new opportunities and look forward to working together to make our shared vision a reality!

Join us on this exciting musical journey!

Sincerely,

The Symphonear Team
