For August, we reached out to two main Universities in Lagos state. The University of Lagos, and the Lagos State University. The first move being the Lagos state university, we met first with the President of the History and International Studies Department, DMF, through whom we intend to create an outreach channel to create awareness and onboard more creatives to the C1 Guild. We also did the same at the University of Lagos, where we met the President of the Faculty of Arts, Victor (Ovic), and he discussed some relevant processes on how he could come in to assist the guild to identify and reach creatives in the institution. While Unilag is still a work in progress, with just a few already onboard and communicating consistently with Dedeukwu, Jephtha and Oblak, we have also featured a painter, from Unilag, whose work was streamed live at our Tuesday workshop.
Currently, DMF already has a WhatsApp group of 17 people interested in the C1 Guild. We intend to work with them and work them through the onboarding process. At unilag, we also have some of them on board, with NEAR wallets created for each of them.

The work we have planned out for September is to formalize plans with the Faculty of Arts President on how to access the creatives in the University space to create a community as we have with LASU. We also intend to reach out to two institutions in Ibadan and Ogun states, where we can find creatives that would be interested in coming on board. We also intend to move to other states like Ibadan, Enugu and Abia state, to reach out to creative spaces in their institutions to onboard them soon.
