Summary

My main focus as a Teacher In Residence is to increase NEAR’s adoption between developers so that more developers start to learn and build on top of NEAR protocol. The next few months plan includes a few projects:

  • NEAR Adoption
    • That’s briefly me mastering NEAR and providing some enhancements (if found)
  • NEAR In Arabic
    • Co-launch an Arabic community for the Arabic world.
  • NEAR Arabic Courses
    • Video courses in Arabic to teach people how to build dApps on the top of NEAR.

Projects intro

NEAR in Arabic

A new project targets educating developers who speak the Arabic language to build apps on NEAR. The main goals are to build courses, articles, communities, and projects for the Arabic-speaking world.

NEAR Arabic Courses

This project targets building online courses that teach developers at different levels how to build dApps from scratch using AssemblyScript and Rust.

January Accomplishments

  • Completed NCD 1 (Adopting NEAR)

    • Enhanced some of the NCD 1 & NCD-Prework materials

  • NEAR In Arabic Project

    • Launched the Github repo with the first near-hell-world-as in AssembyScript username: nearinarabic
    • Launched the Youtube channel

  • NEAR Courses (Build Smart Contract in NEAR - Beginner level)

    • Published the first 2 lessons
  • NEAR By Example .com
    • Helped the team a little to unify the work and launch the site.

February Plan

  • NEAR Adoption
    • Completing NCD (intermediate)
  • NEAR In Arabic Project
    • Co-Launching the near-in-Arabic website and Discord channel
  • NEAR Arabic courses
    • Publish the rest of the course of Build Smart Contract with NEAR (beginners’ level)
  • NEAR-By-Example
    • Helping the team with the content and revision.
