May 2022 Monthly Report

Project Name: Rebelwise DAO

Project Status: in progress

Projects:

Highlights:

  • Completion of one day of professional video production: acquiring shots of performances and narrative story.
  • Gathering of additional material to help tell the story (past youth / community education footage and stock footage).
  • Preliminary, rough video edit.
  • Ongoing education in NEAR, AstroDAO and web3 space for current members.

Learnings:

  • Navigating and understanding the proposal, funding and payout processes. As this is our first month of funding, we wanted to be sure we are understand the protocol and process for paying people who do not yet have NEAR wallets.
  • Development of the collaboration / communication process among members, utilizing the project management tool, Airtable.

Accounting:

  • Total requested / approved: 2000 USD
  • Total spent / paid out: 0 USD
  • Still to be paid out: 350.5 NEAR / 1,822.51 USD

Please note: all work done for May will be paid this month.

Next Steps:

  • Completion of video edit.
  • Creation of NFTs.
  • Continued education and onboarding of Rebelwise members into the web3 space. Transition of current members into mentorship roles.

Additional Notes:

  • We are in the process of changing the spelling of our name from Rebel Wise to Rebelwise (no space). So this will be the project and DAO name moving forward).

Hey @sevenvision It seems that the first edition of the children of the sun music video hasn’t been completed?

Hey @Monish016 yes, we are still in-progress with completing the Children of the Sun project, and are in the editing phase.

As this was our first proposal, we’ve had a bit of a learning curve with understanding the approval process and payouts. We wanted to ensure we would be able to pay collaborators and it looks like the NEAR was received on May 20th. We now we have a better understanding of this process and are providing education with our team for how to receive / transfer / convert NEAR.

We plan to complete the video this month and be able to share a private viewing link for moderators in the progress report next month (before releasing publicly).
