[REPORT] Monthly Report (September) - Waka

Greetings to all! The month of September is over. We want to share with you how we spent our marketing budget from MarketingDAO. Our focus this month was on user acquisition via influencer marketing, testing new hypotheses and implementation NEAR Blockchain. As businesses, we understand that subscribers in social media are not the main goal, but real users who will pay for our solution and use it on a daily basis. Because we use advertising budget to promote our product, there’s no big growth in our social media.

In August we got 116 payouts totaling $224 via influence marketing and exclusive tests. The biggest expense for our marketing is the search for bloggers and rewards for them.

User Acquisition

In order to acquire more users, we continue to work with influencers. In the past month, we have worked with 6 influencers with a combined audience of 300K people. Compared to the previous month, we had 3886 registrations (88,8% growth) and 5307 monthly active users (180,9% growth). We are very grateful to Marketing DAO for giving us the opportunity to launch this campaign.

In addition, we received $224,02 from influencer marketing (1,7% growth over last month). In the last two weeks, our main task has been to gather more information about user flow and test some hypotheses in our product, which is why revenue has not grown much.

Let’s check out our marketing metrics:

NEARCON room for networking

To help people find new connections at NEARCON, we created a special room in waka in collaboration with roke.to. Thousands of waka users saw this room and 57 NEAR Wallet users used it to connect. Thanks to all NEAR users who use our tool!

Special Events

This month we had 3 special events, it is:

  1. AMA-session with Meta Yield. We talked about waka gamefy future within the Meta Yield GameFi Challenge and our win on the pitching competition.
  2. AMA-session with Near Insider. That was an AMA about waka, our team, our future releases and our achievements that we already have.
  3. Nuclear War Room Contest. We want to add some fun to all this scary news about nuclear war. So we launched a new competition with 1 prize of $100.

PR

This month was posted 1 article with waka mentions: 10 Ukrainian Founders’ Stories on Leading Web3 Businesses During the War and Bear Market

We launched our PR process so next month there will be more publications.

Social Media Growth

For us social media is not a 1st priority because we think on this step users in product are more important. While other projects got subscribers on their media, we got users that were already paying. But our social media is still growing, especially twitter profile. This month we published 20 posts on Twitter about wakarooms and announcements of our activities.

social media subs (july) subs (aug) subs (sep)
twitter 124 165 304
instagram 674 666 673
discord 164 174 190

During this month, we developed our strategy and content plan for tiktok marketing. We will launch this social media in October to acquire more users for Waka.

Summary

It was a great month. A lot of new hypotheses were tested, and the marketing team was very active. There will be a lot more activity and interest in the next few months. To continue growing, we will do everything we can. And also what we did is updated our landing page (you can chek it here - https://web.waka.cool)

Let me quote from your writing, “Subscribers in social media are not the main goal, but real users who will pay for our solution and use it on a daily basis. Because we use advertising budget to promote our product, there’s no big growth in our social media.”

One of the key challenges in digital advertising is that thousands of people need your services or products, but only a few want them to buy or subscribe. I guess it’s very important to understand what they need and want.

This is precisely what we’re aiming for: not thousands of subscribers on social media, but active users who find friends and pay for our wakarooms.

Once we reach this goal, we’ll think about thousands subscribers
