Hello Everyone!
Since we got funding so late in the month and it was a holiday for many we did not get to implement everything we would have liked to for November but still got a lot moving and are feeling overall so excited for our plans in December!
Management
- I, @adrianseneca & @godofnfts have been rapidly learning how to use NEAR tooling and doing research on the best ways to get our team engaged with the community here so we can authentically reciprocate the support you have honored us with. We have also been learning different tools to help manage our tasks in a decentralized way. Mostly we are really excited to have gotten this support from NEAR so we can hand over more tasks and compensate everyone for the labor
Social Media
- We set out a bounty [CLOSED] - Social Media Consultant to find a social media consultant to track our social media engagements, manage posts and create content. We have collaborated with @zubairansari07 on this and are going to see how we all like working together for the next few weeks!
Hyphae Digital NFT Show December 21st, 2021
We have been planning the move of our physical NFT show called Hyphae onto the digital. So far we have:
- Decided that our opening day will be on Winter Solstice Dec 21st 2021!!
- Drafted up some concepts and plans of what our strategy will be.
- Obtained access to one virtual gallery space.
- @godofnfts conducted 4 artist interviews with participating artists using some of our funding to compensate each artist for their time
For Product Model
- Our mastermind behind the For Product Model @Patrick-T-Anderson has been continuously researching and working on consolidating the system into one document while writing contracts in solidity behind the scenes. You can take a look at the concept here: For Product - Google Docs
- We also need some help working through some Solidity questions and wanted to engage with (and pour back into) the NEAR community first. We put up this bounty [BOUNTY] Solidity Consultation - $300 USD in NEAR but so far have gotten no responses. Could be the wrong community, lack of knowledge around this topic, time of the year with the holidays or more time needs to pass for folks to get to know us better. For now we will keep the bounty open unless we find someone elsewhere that can assist us and shift this bounty to the next funding period if we are approved.
Onboarding
- This month we have done a bit of onboarding and a lot of onboarding preparation and planning for more workshops next month and in person event presentations.
- @BitSavage0202 has done a really awesome job developing a live weekly onboarding educational workshop called; “Internet & WEB3 Deep Dive” using NEAR as the main protocol to help get community members and the Kin DAO team up to speed on using NEAR & web3 tooling. The topics of the first class which was hosted on 11/29 were: Cyber Security, Wallet Setup & defi ( wallet.near.org, metamask), Chain interaction & defi (uniswap & ref.finance ), NFT Minting Buy, sell (opensea & paras.id), Airdrops & snapshot ( ref.finance) 6. Interoperability - (ibc, wormhole, cross-chain). He will continue to host this workshop with new topics once a week in December with our small group of 6 whom, by the end, will all have NEAR wallets. Once this small group ends we can open up to bigger groups and others outside of our small circle in January.
- I, @adrianseneca created a video How to use NEAR Protocol & Astro DAO - YouTube to help newcomers figure out how to get a NEAR wallet, how to start their own DAO and how to use Astro! We decided this would be a great kick off to start our Kin DAO Youtube channel where we will continue to add educational videos around web3 but also around sustainability and regenerative practices.
