I believe NDC should only sponsor open-source projects. Is this possible in this case?

I understand the philosophy, but we cannot open source our whole stack for a few metrics. We also try to support community efforts by writing custom indexers and dashboards for free when someone asks for it, and if it seems this would benefit everyone. However, I cannot see how we could suddenly pivot and open-source our whole work.
