This lecture aims at defining a series of concepts necessary to understand these three tecnological revolutions, as well as the interrelations amongst them: Blockchain, Web3, metaverse. The lecture is an exercise in conceptual analysis and clarification, and it uses concrete examples of implementations of those tecnologies along the way to make the topics accessible to a large audience.
Jônadas Techio is a Brazilian philosopher, researcher, and certified blockchain solutions architect. PhD in Philosophy from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and from Oxford University, in the area of metaphysics and epistemology; Master’s and Bachelor of Philosophy from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He was an associate professor in the Philosophy Department at the Federal University of Rio Grande do sul for more than 11 years, and currently works at Axur Cibersecurity as blockchain solutions architect,and Web3 Evangelist;
