The Global Blockchain Developer (GBD) DAO is a guild under the Near protocol that aims to onboard and support developers working on NEAR BOS. Our main intention is to provide funding, resources, and mentorship to help developers build great products on NEAR BOS

Problem Statement

Amidst a global shortage of developers, the critical challenge is to find effective strategies for expanding and diversifying the developer talent pool. Addressing this shortage is imperative to meet the growing demand for skilled developers across various industries and foster innovation in the blockchain ecosystem.

Solution

To solve the above problem, the Global Blockchain Developers (GBD) DAO will develop a unique e-learning platform, and video resources thereby converting the NEAR documentation into YouTube videos with excellent community growth initiatives, organizing physical developers workshops, partnership development initiatives, and onboarding developers to build projects on NEAR BOS globally.

Our project revolves around the development of a comprehensive e-learning platform built on the NEAR blockchain, referred to as “NEAR BOS”. The technical aspects of this platform are designed to foster the growth and education of developers within the NEAR ecosystem.

DAO’s Milestones for the E-learning Platform

A. Milestone 1: E-Learning Platform Development (Weeks 1-3)

Task: To develop a user-friendly e-learning platform on NEAR BOS, including course catalogues, progress tracking, and a certification system.

Achievement: To gain the attention of the target audience with our reach content that will be promoted on the different social media handles to reach a wider target audience globally.

Additionally, it lacks information about the existing features of the project, making it difficult to assess its current state. Moreover, your proposal lacks technical details about the project’s components or features and does not provide any integration with other platforms or existing NEAR solutions. Since your proposal revolves around an e-learning platform for developers, such integrations are essential, in my humble opinion.

Your roadmap is also severely limited, as it does not outline how the project plans to reach its objectives or articulate its long-term goals. Furthermore, there are no specific milestones or timelines for achieving the stated goals above. Your proposal also does not provide any information about the roles and responsibilities of your team members or their qualifications. It appears that you are the only one with coding knowledge.

Last but not least, your proposal does not offer a clear budget breakdown or justification for the requested funds. It lacks information on how the funds will be utilized to achieve the project’s objectives.

Based on the Creatives Charter, your proposal, in its current form, is unlikely to receive the 60% score required for approval.
